This is a great place to stay if you want to hang out and party on the riverfront. It's a very easy walk from all the bars and restaurants, but removed enough that you can retreat for rest and quiet... sort of.
There is a central ground floor space, with the lobby and bar. There are multiple floors surrounding this large open space, with rooms facing it (effectively balconies around a large yard, but all indoors). If you're in one of those rooms, it can be pretty loud even at night, as guests hang out in the bar area (at least on the third floor, where we were).
The rooms had little defects - the phone didn't work in ours, some of the plugs were broken, lightbulb was out in the bathroom. Also, there was very little space to put things in the bathroom - just a tiny little counter in front of the sink, and no hooks to hang up towels. Our window looked out over a bleak painted roof. I'm sure there are rooms with gorgeous views, facing the river, but I guess you'd have to know to ask.
The breakfast buffet was not bad, but overpriced. The rates in general were higher than I'd expect for the quality of the rooms and the amenities.
