“A nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

This was our first trip to Savannah and we stayed here on the recommendation of a friend who returns to this B&B frequently. Pluses: Centrally located and a short walk to all of Savannah's hot spots, with many restaurants, shops and convenience stores within a block. Gracious, friendly staff. Free wine and cheese nightly (except Sundays) and fresh baked cookies at turn-down. Great shower with excellent water pressure. Next door to the elegant Olde Pink House Restaurant and the best bar in Savannah, the Olde Pink House Basement Tavern. For our anniversary, they had a complimentary bottle of champagne and a lovely card in the room when we arrived. Minuses: the room was nicely decorated but had a few items that needed attention--water damage/peeling paint on the ceiling in the bathroom and missing the sheer privacy curtain from one of the window's. The lighting in the bathroom was also extrememly dim. Our view was of the parking garage-pretty ghastly, so be sure to ask if this is important. You have to valet your car ($15/day) and call the front desk to have ice or a soda brought to your room (no public ice/soda machine and no mini fridge in the room). Even 6 floors up, we were woken several times by loud revelers on the street in the wee hours on the weekend. These were minor inconveniences, however, and all of the staff were warm and attentive. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Our room faced the parking garage and had a lot of street noise, even 6 floors up. I can't say i...

Will make your Savannah experience truly memorable. A truly beautiful boutique hotel. Not too small , not too big- Excellent size. The lobby and room decor was very tasteful. you feel as if though you are in a beautiful southern mansion. . the view from our hotel was not the best but that didn't matter. if your room does not have a great view the hotel's location in front of Reynold's square makes up for it. You can stroll or sit at the square and enjoy the ambiance. Musicians play at the square and with the Pink Restaurant next door - you have one of the best locations in Savannah. The persons working there were kind and helpful. the valet driver , Sam, was very helpful with directions. The front desk staff was also very helpful provided us with complimentary coupons to local tours.

Room Tip: very spacious. the rooms are so elegant that even if you do not get the room size you want, you wil...

This hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of Savannah (with good non expensive valet parking) a great base for seeing this beautiful historic City. On the return leg of the trip we couldn't get in and stayed on the edge of the city. A very different feel and atmosphere

We've stayed in Savannah a couple of times in the past and nobody compares to Planters Inn for location, price, and overall hospitality. Concierge went above and beyond her duty to help, valet drivers were very prompt and polite, wine and cheese party every night....the list goes on. A fantastic trip and we will be here again! Thanks Planters Inn for a marvelous experience.

Three generations of my family came together to celebrate my mother's birthday. My experience at the Planters Inn was wonderful, and I hope that I'll soon find another reason to return. The staff is exceptional and the accommodations where very clean and comfortable. Although I didn't meet any of the residential ghosts, I got the feeling that I know why they choose not to leave.

Room Tip: Any room ending in "01" or "02" will give you a view of Reynold Square. (501 an...

We stopped in Savannah for the day and decided to stay the night. We found the Planters Inn online & booked a room. It's a quaint historical inn. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The inn is in close proximity to dining and shopping. We only stayed the night, but we did enjoy our stay..and the free wine & cheese :)

My Mom & I stayed here and had a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and the location was perfect! Ate at the Pink House next door and it was fabulous!!! Will definitely stay here again. PS The breakfast was a nice surprise and I was able to take my Mom breakfast in bed.
