“Great Experience....Will Stay Again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

I Stayed at the Planters Inn from Feb 07-.10. I booked the Romance Package. It was my first time in Savannah and the truth is that I didn´t know what to expect, but I was impressed; from the moment that we arrived, there were roses and a bottle of champagne waiting for us at the room and since we arrived late and were tired, we wanted to order room service, well the room service is provided by the Olde Pink House, and the food is very good. It was delivered to our room within 20 minutes after we ordered it.

The hotel is very well located, the The Olde Pink House is next to it, everything is within walking distance. The rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable.

As part of our package, we also had a carriage waiting for us the next morning and it pretty much showed on time, it was a very good experience since we were able to get familiar with our surroundings.

They had a piano player and happy hour in the afternoon, which was great.

I will definitely come back.....

Nice size room, very clean, great view of the parking garage. Well-located in the heart of town. They have a nice wine/cheese reception for guests every evening but it's held in the lobby, which can only comfortably accommodate about 20 people. Parking was convenient across the street but it's $16 a day. Although the room was a comfortable size, there was no desk to work at so you have to have your computer in your lap or, as I did, used the small lamp table. Wi-fi (G) is free but was so weak it was taking 30 seconds to load a page. Time to upgrade to N. Free continental breakfast with a good selection to fit any taste. Great pick for a romantic weekend but there are better choices for a business trip. Definitely take a few quiet minutes to sit in the park across the street!

Room Tip: Half the rooms face the parking garage, the other half face the neighboring building. Premium front...

My wife and I really enjoy our trips to Savannah especially our stays at Planters Inn. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The rooms are neat and quiet and the valet parking is a great help. They frquently run specials that are very good money savers. We took advantage of the Valintines package as part of our 50th anniversary. The hotel is conveniently located near all major attractions.

My wife and I made a last minute decision to make a short weekend trip to Savannah and found the Planters Inn on Trip Advisor. Good choice. Very centrally located and easy walking distance to everything. The room was comfortable and clean. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast so we could sleep in. (Go to Huey's for Benget's and breakfast) Wine and cheese was "okay". Plenty of wine and Karen was very pleasant. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Valet parking or park yourself across the street. Olde Pink House across street and we were pleasantly surprised with quality of food (and drinks) Open seating downstairs in the bar with music.

I have stayed at this hotel before and was very happy. This time was not as great as last time. I was disappointed that they didn't have happy hour on Sunday as that was a great part of the hotel package we bought. We arrived early and were told our luggage would be put in our room. It wasn't no big deal as they brought it up to us right away. The problem I had was with all the hair I found in the untidy bathroom. My tissue box was covered with hair and the tub also had some hair and what looked to be some type of cork or wood. The staff is good but A big shoot out to the lady serving breakfast. Her big smile and joyous greeting made me smile. Breakfast was much better than last stay as well. The other employees were also pleasant but she really stood out greeting everyone and being wonderful. Planters inn has great packages and rates and is in a wonderful location. The hair thing just got me.

We went to Savannah for a long weekend and stayed at the Planters Inn. It was located in the heart of downtown with a lot within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had, with a lot of options to choose from and really, really good grits. Happy hour cocktails in the lounge were very upscale and pleasant. There was live piano music. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The only teeny tiny drawback was that our room had a view of a parking garage. Quite frankly, I couldn't care too much about this because we did not make the trip for the view and it wasn't noisy or anything so, "who cares?"

i can't say enough about our wonderful stay at this Inn. Our balcony room overlooking Reynolds Square provided every amenity we could possibly want. Clean, period furniture, crisp sheets and comfy towels. The staff was extremely accommodating by making reservations for dinner and carriage rides. We have no complaints at all even the weather was perfect! Location, location, location.

Room Tip: If at all available ask for the balcony rooms on the parkside. I believe there are only two rooms wi...
