After spending a noisy night on Ellis Square at the Andoz Hotel, we moved to our old stand by hotel....This was not our first visit to the Mulberry.....We were recognized as Priority Club members and returning guest immediately upon check in..they have wine socials nightly (except Sunday)..FREE WINE! woo hoo..LOL.
At the price point for this hotel, you get a lot of value and with a touch of elagance. The main room is decorated with antiques and features a baby grand piano. Our room was quiet and on the upper floor. We opted to upgrade to a Executive King. EVERYONE was very helpful and went out of their way to please. We had a bad storm one night and the bartender was nice enough to keep the bar open longer since we were stuck in the hotel..(it was apparent she had a family waiting for her, but she compromised....Kudos) I felt that the breakfast should be included ($9.95 buffet), plus beverages.....We were given a "free" breakfast pass because of priority club membership, but it was for only one person in our party...so, with the "free" breakfast voucher, two of us ate for $22 including tip, taxes and beverages...We decided to skip on the buffet on our second day, not using our second day pass...it felt more like a ploy to get us there, than being rewarded as a Priority club member. BUT, this hotel will continue to be my "go to" hotel. Pool and hot tub was spotless, in a nice fountain court. Covered, on site parking, included as a Priority club member. And very convenient to River Street. Note, this a a hisorical landmark and was once use by Coke as a bottling factory,
