We had to stay beyond our check-out time b/c our tour went longer than we expected. The lady at the front desk seemed put out, but we were not charged extra - which was a plus. We enjoyed the Wine & Cheese and of course our room was nice...

This was our first trip, of what I expect to many, to Savannah! We decided to book a classic king room at the Marshall House after reading reviews from tripadvisor and scoring a great deal booking online from their website. We stayed on the 4th floor, which was very quiet, as no one is above you. This hotel is full of charm with it's high ceilings, brick, and creaky wood floorboards. You really have to experience it to understand the beauty and history of this hotel. The staff were amazing... the epitome of southern hospitality! The breakfast was plentiful and very good by hotel standards. The location can't be beat! The Marshall House is just a couple/few blocks from anywhere you want to be! Savannah is definitely a walking/walkable city! There is a parking garage right behind the hotel, so I'd say save your time and money avoiding valet. This hotel is also very clean and housekeeping did an amazing job on fixing up our room on a daily basis! It looked like we had just checked in for the first time everytime we entered our room! The only complaints I have are that the mattresses need updating, as they were somewhat hard and uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower isn't the best in the world, either, but it's kind of to be expected in such an historic, older establishment. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Savannah... maybe in one of the shared balcony rooms next time!

We stayed 2 nights at the Marshall House and it was wonderful. The rooms were immaculate and well-stocked, the location was central yet quiet. The breakfast was filling and the wine and cheese was a great start to the evening. What really set this hotel apart, however, was the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will be recommending The Marshall House to others!

Room Tip: Petite queen rooms are small, but not too small, and a great value.

This was our first stay @ a bed and breakfast. And I have to say it has been lovely. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Everything is so charming. I love that you go out of a window to get to the shared balcony. The view is nice. It was a nice breakfast with lots of choices, and the wine and cheese in the afternoon was a nice touch. We will surely stay here again.

This property is beautiful, the service excellent. Ignore the tales of "creepy"...it has the old world elegance you would expect of an older property but all the charm and warmth you could ask for. The location is fabulous. My 10 year old daughter was treated with the same respect as any other patron. She now understands what a fine hotel should offer.

Room Tip: Stay in the King veranda's for a bonus location. It is lovely to sit outside and watch Savannah...

My husband and I loved our stay at the Marshall House four years ago, and didn't even consider other hotels when our travels to us back to Savannah last week. The interiors and exteriors of the hotel are beautiful - southern charm everywhere. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful; we were always greeted with a smile and a friendly hello - from the reception staff, the bellmen, and housekeeping.

We stayed in a Queen room, which was on the small side and didn't have a great view, but we didn't come to Savannah to sit in our room all day! The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of towels.

The hotel is conveniently located in the Historic District - within walking distance of most of the squares, Forsyth Park, and the Riverfront. There are also lots of great restaurants within walking distance, and if you're not sure where to go, the reception staff or bellmen are happy to offer suggestions.

There is no parking at the hotel, but there are public parking garages within a block or two. However, my husband and I opted for valet parking, which was a reasonable $15 a day (we heard a passerby mention something about the parking garages being $10 a day - not sure if that's true or not...)

Room Tip: Queen rooms don't have the best views, but are little cheaper

We stayed at the Marshall House because we heard it was haunted and wanted something downtown. Not only was the hotel just completely beautiful, the room was immaculate, and the staff was wonderful. We had a very enjoyable stay here! The location is great because you are close to everything. We made a great choice in choosing The Marshall House. :-)

Room Tip: The fourth floor is apparently the haunted floor. You might get a balcony if you choose the 2nd floo...
