i loved everything about this hotel. the rooms are great and the bed was the best part. the only thing i didn't like was that its 12 miles off I-95. it was worth the drive over though. i highly recommend staying here. i got a great price on priceline.

My son and I stayed at this motel for extended lengths of time for medical reasons six times during 2009 and 2010 (was forced to choose a 2012 date to get review printed), two of those times during the Christmas holidays. Karen McCoy, the General Manager, and her staff, were absolutely fantastic and did everything possible to make our stays comfortable, affordable and pleasant! There is very little staff turnover here, because I saw the same faces visit after visit, from the front desk, to the dining room, to the housekeeping staff. We were even given the same room for each of our visits which made us feel even more at home. The facilities are very well maintained and pleasant. The location is conveniently located between the interstate, medical facilities, churches, shopping, restaurants, and the historical area downtown. We felt very safe here. The dining room staff prepares and serves great breakfasts and goes out of its way to accommodate special requests of guests. We have no further need to come to Savannah for medical reasons, thank goodness, but hope to return "for fun" in the future and will MOST DEFINITELY stay here when we do!

The greatest thing about this property is the staff. There are a number of closed and/or so so eating places around it and the street is very busy. The lobby area was nice, the staff at check in was very friendly and it was a convenient drive around the corner of the building to get to our room. We had a King on the first floor and the configuration was about the oddest I have been subject to. There were glass door out to the courtyard one one wall,a couch in the room on one wall and a long desk and dresser combination on the other wall and of course the bed on the wall opposite the glass doors. This meant that the TV was on the dresser to your left and to lie in bed and watch TV you had to crank you head to the left. After a little bit of this it really was a pain in the neck. The room was clean and neat, but could probably use an upgrade. The bath was spotless and had everything you need. The biggest problem, other then the odd configuration of the room, was a lack of sufficient housekeeping staff on Saturday. My wife and I left the room early in the morning and when we returned to the room at 4:30 PM it still had not been touched. Shortly before 5 PM housekeeping showed up and since we were tired I told them just to tidy up the bathroom and leave everything else alone. The only thing I could say as a real plus with the lady running the Bistro, I believe her name was Margie. You could not have asked for a sweeter more at tentative lady who made spending money a pleasure. If you want me to say something good...there are good shopping centers just down the road.

Locations is excellent, but: hotel is tired and worn - badly in need of serious upgrades all around; breakfast was the absolute worst we've ever had at a Courtyard - dirty dishes stacked up on counter where juice & water & yogurt served, bad cantaloupe, etc.
