“These Canadians loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

It was our first time to Georgia and our first time staying at a B&B. We LOVED both! We stayed in the "Noble Jones" suite and it was beautiful...if I was forced to say a negative it would be that it took a super long time to fill the jetted tub and the buttons were very hard to press to get the jets going...but I am sure I am the only one that wanted a hot soak in such a hot climate! The breakfast was very good...the portion sizes are huge (at least to what we are used to here) so one day we both asked for a half order...very delicious and we loved talking to Jim, the Innkeeper/owner about politics/Canada, etc...everyone was very friendly at the Inn. Jeremy was very helpful too!

We loved the parlor room...when we arrived after a long flight we went straight in and had a glass of wine, some cheese and met another nice couple from Wisconsin. Very relaxing...I appreciate the fact that the doors are locked at a certain time, no tours are allowed, etc...At night when we returned we would go in the parlor room and have some port before retiring for the night!

The location is very good and we walked everywhere.

It will be hard to top this B&B. Everything was fabulous...I even bought 2 mugs with the name of the Inn and picture on them to have here at home to remember our time in Savannah and the beautiful Inn.

...but we experienced the most rude person when we asked to see the main area to see if we might want to stay there in the future. He opened the door a crack like we were criminals casing the place. Based on the un-friendly southern Savannah hospitality we will NEVER stay there as there are way too many options for B&B's in the Savannah area. Funny how ONE person can ruin the reputation for an entire place.

We take great pride in the fact that we are ranked #1 with our guests that have stayed at the Hamilton-Turner Inn. Part of our guest satisfaction is the fact that the Inn remains private and is for their exclusive use. Our guests enjoy the fact they can have a seat in our “main areas” and not have tourist exploring the property during their time of relaxation. This is what sets our Inn apart from traditional hotels and is one of the reasons many of our guests return. We are not a tour home and have no intentions or interest in becoming a tour home. It is quite unfortunate that you perceive our staff as rude based on our desire to keep our Inn private for the exclusive use of our registered paying guests. I personally invite you to become a guest at our Inn so that you too can experience the various amenities that the Hamilton-Turner Inn offers, undisturbed.

The house is just charming and exactly what's needed to 'experience Savannah living'. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the owners are very accommodating. We highly recommend having them set up a trolley tour for you if its your first time visiting Savannah. The trolley company picks you up right at the hotel! Delightful stay!!

Wonderful getaway! We've stayed here 5 times over the years and it remains as special as the first. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated! The food is what makes it such a great value! Part of the charm is the location!! Historic downtown Savannah walking distance to river street and all the best of this charming southern city!!

My mother and I stayed at the Hamilton-Turner Inn during our extended weekend trip to Savannah. I highly recommend this B&B to everyone traveling to Savannah! The place itself was beautiful both inside and out. We stayed in the John Wesley Suite which was both spacious and comfortable. The staff was always kind and accomodating. You get a personal key to the house when you check in because the doors lock at a certain hour. The breakfast was delicious! I am still drooling over the sausage and gravy biscuits we had. The location is great. The B&B is nestled at the corner of Lafayette Square and only a few blocks away from Forsyth Park which was a great place to go for a run or nice walk. It's farther from the water but Savannah is small enough that you can walk almost anywhere you want to go in a short amount of time. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

Room Tip: If you travel with pets, they have rooms on the first floor with a personal entrance to the garden!

If you want to experience the ambiance and charm of old Savannah, you must stay at the Hamilton Turner Inn. It was exquisitely appointed. The room was fabulous and comfortable. There were many home touches to make us feel right at home. The food was delicious. They couldn't do enough for us to make sure our stay was terrific. We enjoyed every minute and would recommend staying at the Inn! I was simply delightful.

Room Tip: Being on the fourth floor was great. Yes, there are stairs, however, the view was wonderful.

Our son and daughter-in-law were married at the Inn. It couldn't have been more perfect! The owners were extremely gracious and accommodating. Staying at the Inn made a wonderful time even more memorable. Breakfast at the Inn was delicious. It will be a trip often remembered. Loved Savannah & Hamilton-Turner Inn!
