My first visit to this unusual and sophisticated spot will Not be my last. I was hesitant at first since I am in the habit of finding my own restaurants and this was recommended by a friend! I am so glad we went ! This was amazing. I am a cilliac to start with and for those of you who struggle with this know eating out is difficult. So I usually call well ahead and plan according to what the kitchen or a manager can tell me about preparation. BUT, Local 11 Ten went above and beyond that . Once they had my reservation, they went above and beyond the call , making me a custom dish of Baked then grilled fresh Grouper and grilled local GA. shrimp over a bed of Carolina wild rice with corn , baby tomatoes ,and a roasted yellow squash and baby asparagus. The presentation, the flavor, the service and the setting were all works of art ( which you are also surrounded by)! The building is classic reclaimed , looks to be a part of an old VFW post ( hence the name and an existing post still operates beside it.) But in interior and the food are combination of the best in a classy , modern take on low country fresh and home grown and fresh caught.The Chef , the kitchen staff and the serve staff ALL treated me like I was some one truly special though this was the very first time I was here. But I can say to all , I will be back often.So please, if you are looking for a first class, fine dinning experience without the downtown formality or location, venture south ( for those of you form out of town , that is AWAY from our river.) and just steps from the far south side of our storied Forsyth Park find Local 11 Ten and enjoy. Oh, and don't forget a fresh desert, a small perfect trio of flavors that is the very best fruit sorbet in the city. Fresh made there like everything else there . You can dress up a little but you won't feel like you have to make a presentation, they have already done it for you! Lovely , just Lovely!
