“Perfect Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

My fiance and I decided on this hotel because of the spectacular reviews and for the fact that it is supposedly haunted. We visited Savannah to celebrate his birthday and we got engaged the first night! The staff was wonderful and our room was beautiful. We stayed in the Emma Kelly room. While it was big and gorgeous (with a Jacuzzi bath I got to enjoy!) Its location left a lot to be desired. It is located on the courtyard level right under the parlor. Most of the time this was not a problem but being as he and I are both light sleepers we were awakened every time someone entered and walked around the parlor. Honestly this was our only complaint. We ordered breakfast each day to be delivered to our room. It was always delivered on time and still hot. We recommend the omelets! The biscuits served with it were also wonderful. When we arrived we were promptly checked in and we had someone help us to our room. The parking lot was easy to find but because of the awesome location Kehoe House is located in we never needed the car. Everything was within walking distance. The wine and hors d'oeuvres each night were a nice touch and we loved getting a glass of wine and walking out to the veranda. Each concierge was welcoming, knowledgeable, and always willing to help out with whatever we needed. We recommend this hotel for any couple needing an escape and we hope to return!!

Room Tip: Be careful choosing the emma kelly room is you are light sleeper. It is on the courtyard level so y...

We booked the Kehoe House after the first of the year, 2013, and looked forward to our driving trip to the East Coast and time in Savannah in early October.
When we arrived from Charleston we were a little early so we called ahead to see if our room was ready. We were informed by a friendly staff member that our room was ready and waiting for us. When we arrived we found the staff to be very friendly and ready for our arrival. We were immediately pleased with the beautiful antique furnishings and accessories in the downstairs rooms and were made to feel very comfortable and welcome. We were assisted by a nice young man/staff member, Dominic, who helped in gathering our luggage from our car and assisted us to our room which was on the second floor. Our room, the Juliet Gordon Low room, was very comfortable and we did not lack for sleep on the nice bed. The room was clean and well appointed. Wifi was available and easy to set up. Dominic also gave us some good recommendations on local restaurants and places to visit.
We were told about the schedule for breakfast, and beverages(complimentary wine available also) and snack time before dinner, and dessert and coffee after dinner, among other things. During these times we had an opportunity to visit with other guests and compare notes on each other’s activities for the day.
Breakfast was served between 8 and 10 am and we were given a sheet of paper with items available for breakfast, and told to fill it out and give it to the staff the evening before that breakfast. We did as directed and when we came down for breakfast, and sat in the beautiful dining room, our breakfast orders were delivered as directed, and were very good. We sat at the large dining room table and guests arrived and departed as they finished their breakfast. We found all of the guests who we visited with to be very easy going and friendly.
The staff was very accommodating and saw to our needs. We especially found the evening staff, namely Cathy, to be friendly and full of information about Savannah. She also helped us in our decisions about what to see and do in Savannah since she was raised in the city and a good resource, and a very important benefit for someone new to the area.
Overall we can’t say enough good things about the Kehoe House, as well as the staff and comfortable surroundings. We will definitely return to Savannah, and will make every effort to stay at the Kehoe House. It is only a short walk to many of the memorable homes in the Historic District as well as the downtown area. We saved many of the brochures on the house and the area and took extra copies for some friends of ours who are planning on a trip to Savannah early next year.

My husband and I had our elopement at the Kehoe House this past weekend and everything was wonderful! While we were not the only wedding there that weekend, we never felt like just another couple. The staff was great and took care of everything we asked. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds are very comfortable. As usual for an historic Inn the bathrooms are small but clean. The day concierge was fantastic. After only about 30 minutes she had a list of 10-12 nearby restaurants that could accommodate a gluten free diet. This B&B would have earned 5 stars from me if they had changed just a couple of minor things. 1. The Inn knew one of us was restricted to a gluten free diet and it would have shown great attention to detail if they'd offered a gluten free turndown treat instead of cookies. 2. The sheets on the bed must have been a little past their prime because the fitted sheet kept coming off the mattress during the night. Not a big deal but it was annoying to wake up and have to constantly put the sheet back on.

Room Tip: The rooms that share a balcony are very nice.

The Kehoe House was manned by a delightfully friendly staff. This is a very old Savannah house loaded with charm. There is beautiful woodwork throughout. The large dining room allowed the guests to enjoy one another's company over breakfast made with fresh food. later in the afternoon they serve wine and light snacks where the guests can mingle. The Kehoe House has all of the pleasantries you would expect from a quality B&B.

LOVED EVERYTHING! It was Heaven-like. The home was absolutely beautiful! From the moment you walk in, you feel like you've entered another era, with everyone making you feel BELONGED & CARED for. The graciousness of the staff was outstanding - loved April and Dominic, but everyone was wonderful. Our room..., I have no words to express our delight - from the plush robes to its spaciousness - again wonderful! The food..., again, words escape me! Delicious! Outstanding! We would return in a flash!

Room Tip: We had the Emma Kelly room - wonderful, but I believe they have a room(s) with a private balcony - w...
