We spent 2 nights at the Foley House Inn and would definately look forward to staying there in the future. The staff was fantastic - felt like they always went out of their way to make us comfortable. We felt pampered wìth the great service, delicious food, and the welcoming touch of the crystal decanter of port always available. Our room was romantic, elegant and we enjoyed the view of the gardens. The location of the inn is perfect as almost anywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance.

Room Tip: Depends on your priorities - balcony, ground floor, direct garden access, view of gardens vs view of...

Our second time in Savanna, we chanced upon a special promotional rate too good to pass up. The staff, day and night, were remarkably friendly, helpful, professional. The architecture, decor, wine, and the breakfast were all excellent. Coming in from the rain, the night porter produced an orange, a hot cup of good tea and a warm piece of cake. The concierge was very helpful with dining advice. The bed was luxurious, the shower hot & strong, the whole atmosphere was just what you might most wish to experience in Savanna. Of course, Savanna is great, too. Our car has not moved in two days, no need.

Room Tip: Carriage house rooms offer windows on courtyard and street. Nice.

We recently spent 4 wonderful days and nights in Savannah at the Foley House. This was our first trip to Savannah and our first trip traveling with a pet, we found the Foley House listed on bringfido.com. My husband and I had no idea how it would be to travel with our young Golden Retriever that we are training as a pet-therapy dog. I can't say enough wonderful things about our delightful experience both with the Foley House and Savannah. From the moment we arrived and met Tyler, to the farewell by Christine waving from the door, our trip was a delight. After reviewing their website and their video on YouTube, we chose Clower Hall, a garden room on the lower level with access to the courtyard for our dog. The room was comfortable and we found it to be well represented to what we saw on the Internet. The hot shower available in this room must be mentioned ~ great water pressure! We were having a mini-reunion with old friends and thought the private courtyard area would be an ideal spot for catching-up ~ they chose the Wanstead, another lovely garden level room next to ours. The parlor & library areas upstairs were so comfortable and pleasant that we spent most of our socializing time there. Breakfast each morning was served by two charming and cheerful ladies from a menu of several choices that changed each day. The desk staff conveniently made our dinner and tour reservations each day, as well as great recommendations. Located perfectly in the middle of the Historical District, you won't find a better location. We easily walked everywhere we went between the riverfront and Forsythe Park, and never moved our car from the front of the Inn by using the parking passes available when we checked in. We thoroughly enjoyed the tray of assorted sweets and port served between 3:00-5:00PM in the library, and the assortment of hot and cold appetizers with wine served between 6:00-7:00PM ~ each day the offering was different, but always delicious. We've never stayed at a B&B with more southern hospitality, or visited a town with more charm and hospitality than Savannah. Our dog was treated like a celebrity at the Inn and all over town. We are already talking about another "friend's reunion" in Savannah at the Foley House!

Room Tip: The rooms are well represented with pictures on the Foley House website AND in videos founds on YouT...

Even though our conference was at the Hyatt Riverside, decided to stay at the Foley Inn instead and walk or take a taxi to the Hyatt. Turned out to be a good choice. The Hyatt isn't bad, but the Foley Inn is definitely better. Very nice rooms, excellent staff, breakfast is included, and the location is very pleasant.

Room Tip: Ask about what the view from the room will be like.

My husband took me here for my birthday. We loved the house so much we stayed an extra night. We had the Essex room, the largest room in the house. Big clean room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, comfortable sitting areas and two working fireplaces made it extra special on the cold nights.

Every morning we were greeted by very kind staff and a delicious hot breakfast. Every evening after a full day I'd sightseeing we would return to freshen up and then a glass of wine and yummy appetizers in the foyer where we would exchange stories of the day with other guests before heading out for dinner and a night on the town.

Room Tip: This room faces the square. We heard a couple fighting out side the last night we were there. Woke u...

My wife and I are Savannah residents but decided to have a short "staycation" in the heart of the Historic District, and chose to stay at the Foley Inn Bed & Breakfast. It is a beautiful historic location overlooking the picturesque Chippewa Square--the same Savannah square where scenes of Forrest Gump were once filmed. From this location, Forsyth Park is less than 1/2 mile to the south, and River Street is just over 1/2 mile north. Our south-facing balcony room had views to the east and the west, affording sunrise/sunset opportunities that are sometimes hard to see in an area with so many huge moss-draped live oaks. The staff was attentive and the room was perfect, complete with a gas fireplace, a four post bed and plenty of seating space. We enjoyed a complimentary nightcap of port, and had a tasty full breakfast in the morning. I would recommend Foley House to anyone. It would be a perfect location for a St Patty's Day visit, or any downtown Savannah stay.

Great staff, beautiful location and full of charm. Thank you for making my 50th Birthday Great!!
If you stay here you are right where they filmed Forrest Gump and the feather on the bench. The location is right in the middle of the square. Lots of things to do. Walking to the River front was alittle far. But carriages and buses run often. Ask the staff they will be happy to help you with anything.
