“Wonderful Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

We had a wonderful weekend in Savannah staying at 511 East Broughton. The house was perfect for our girls weekend. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and get ready. The location was perfect for us to walk around and explore downtown. We never had to drive anywhere! The large dining room table proved to be the perfect place for us all to gather and socialize. We had a great weekend and hope to return sometime!

Excellent folks to rent from. Everything was exactly as promised. Home was outstanding and a great location. Easy walk to numerous restaurants, entertainment and easy to get around the area. Dedicated garage parking was great, although like all down town areas, the parking is tight. We had a Dodge Minivan, which was a tight fit. But, with care it's pretty easy to back in. However, a smaller vehicle would make the parking experience a bit easier.

The home is beautiful! Incredible antique furnishing and very nice art works abound. Beds were very comfortable. A/C works flawlessly. Kitchen is amazing. And numerous places nearby deliver. Very nice washer/dryer made it a breeze to leave for our next leg with all clean laundry.

Only minor comment was that the bath/shower in the master bath is showing some age and is a bit difficult for my 85 year old parents to use.. Every other fixture was perfect. The 2nd smaller bath upstairs was perfect.

This property is a spectacular value for any visitor to the Savannah area and is highly recommended!

Room Tip: If you need 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms this property suites your needs.

I recently rented this property to attend an industry conference and could not have been happier with the choice. The house and carriage house were very clean, unbelievably decorated and provided enough room for 6 businessmen to work, sleep and entertain.

The courtyard between the garage and the main house provided a nice place to relax and enjoy the warm Savannah weather in between conference sessions and before/after dinner. Although we did not cook in the house both kitchen's were chef quality.

I would definitely rent this property again for business or pleasure.

This is a very elegant, attractive property and perfectly suited our needs. The layout is very practical—the annex over the garage offered privacy and comfort, and the bedrooms in the main house were spacious. The beds are remarkably comfortable. We discovered a couple of issues with kitchen appliances when we arrived, and before we even reported them Robbie was at the house asking if everything was all right. He rectified the situation immediately. The kitchen is unusually well equipped for a rental—not only with cookware and china and glass, but also with spices—and we were able to cook as if we were at home.

The location is ideal, and we were able to walk to any destination in town. For trips outside of downtown we had cars, and the double garage made it easy.

Helen and Robbie made the rental negotiations utterly smooth, and I highly recommend this property.

My husband, myself and two other couples decided to visit Savannah a week before Christmas.
We were thrilled when we arrived at the Broughton St.Guest House. The furnishings are wonderful and the home, though large is very cozy. The kitchen is modern and bright with up to date appliances.

The location which is at one end of the Historic District is close to everything. We walked all over town visiting parks, museums and wonderful restaurants and to top it off only one block away from the Trolley.

We will definitely return.

This house was better then we could have expected. We rented both the main house and carraige house. The main house is extremely beautiful with plenty of character and amazing bedrooms with very comfy beds. The carraige house was absolutely perfect....kitchen with dining and living room area with a pullout couch and another amazing bedroom. We had so much fun...the kitchen is well stocked and we had amazing meals AT the house. The house is perfectly located near The Pirate's House. We LOVED SAVANNAH!! We have traveled alot - the group of 9, and this was by far one of our favorite cities ever!! No questions asked....book this house. I would love to go back to Savannah, and if we do we would definately stay here again!!

Room Tip: There isn't a bad room in this beautiful house.

We rented the entire property (including the carriage house) for the inaugural Savannah Rock and Roll Marathon. It was the perfect location. Close to the start line and an easy walk from the finish area. The house is well appointed with many period touches as well as modern conveniences. The pictures on the website simply don't do it justice. It is beautiful as well as comfortable. The owners are also very helpful and answered all our questions. We enjoyed being able to walk to everything ... even after running 26.2!
