The Rail is an unpretentious dive with an eclectic mix of patrons. The drinks are stiff, and the salted peanuts free. They have bars on the ground floor and on the upper level. Though it seems to attract a younger crowd, I felt right at home. Bikers, SCAD students, debutantes, cougars on the prowl, frat boys, and even a dude decked out in 70s disco duds complete with an Afro wig and zebra striped platform shoes. The best deal is a "forty" served to you wrapped in a brown paper bag for $5, I think. Friendly people and a decent jukebox--what more can you ask for?
