“Vic's on the River - WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

Just returned from Savannah with my husband who was on a business trip. At at Vic's with his group of about 71 people. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic! The stuffed shrimp was quite filling and very, very good. Has o'dervs, soup, salad, the meal and dessert. Afterward felt like "Thanksgiving" overstuffed! Just couldn't put the fork down......too delicious!

“Good Place for Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We stopped at Vic's for a weekday lunch on a recent visit to Savannah. We were there around 11:30 am and were able to be seated right away, but the restaurant was doing brisk business by the time we left. The menu offered a choice of several scaled back dinner entrees, which was nice. The food was very good and a nice change from most of the riverfront restaurants that capitalize on their view and location. Also, it is nice to have the chance to order something more substantial than salads or sandwiches for lunch. The service was friendly and attentive. I would enjoy going back for dinner the net time we are in town.

“Informal, great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

Vic's is located in an historic warehouse in the old part of Savannah. It has been stylishly converted into a fine restaurant which you enter on the first floor (the second floor if you are American). I was eating alone and sat at the bar with good views down to the river. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. I ate fried green tomatoes (essential eating when visiting Savannah) with goat's cheese, followed by scallops on a bed of a creamy risotto with a rocket garnish. The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. The total bill including a couple of glasses of wine, coffee and a well-deserved tip came to approximately $80. If I have one criticism, it is the presence of the tv showing football in the corner above the bar, which is surely an unnecessary distraction in a restaurant of this standard. Nevertheless I enjoyed a very pleasant evening and I wouldn't hesitate in returning the next time I am in town

“Excellent River Street choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

My wife and I chose Vic's based on a recommendation at the hotel and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar next to a large window overlooking the river. We each had a different crab appetizer. The crab cake portion was small, but tasty. The crab, peach, and avocado dish my wife had was unique and delicious. Our bartender was very friendly and the wine list has some values on it. The entrees were also great, with a large portion of pecan crusted local flounder that was very good and the aforementioned shrimp and grits from prior reviews that was excellent. We both really enjoyed the feel of this place and would defintely return.

“Great food, cool bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

Was very good. Exceeded expectations. At first I thought it was going to be a tourist trap, but I was very wrong. We chose to sit at the bar, we generally like sitting at bars when we go out. The bartender Drew was very cool and personable. My wife and I shared the Oyster Rockefeller appetizer
Which was just ok (we are spoiled living in Charleston.) And the pork chop entree, which was very good. They went the extra mile and put it on two plates for us. It was more than we could finish. Looking around the food was coming out in very large portions. The lamb shank looked like it was the size of a small animal. Overall good experience. Will return next trip.
