We just moved to Savannah and have been underwhelmed by the dining. I don't mind paying premium prices for a nicely executed meal. But many local places seem priced to take advantage of tourists, without quality to justify the prices.

Found Pearls on a recommendation from a local. It's a bit out of the way (out towards the islands), but so worth it. The halibut with the amaretto beurre blanc, jumbo lump crab and asparagus tips was crazy good.

Place is crowded on Saturdays, but we are always able to get in. The decor is sort of lodge-rustic, but the location on the marsh is really nice. Worth the trip!

The van driver for Old Savannah Trolley tours who picked up up at our hotel (La Quinta) recommended Pearl's as an excellent restaurant to get good seafood. Four of us made reservations for dinner, and certainly enjoyed our evening at the restaurant. The food and wine was delicious and the service was excellent. We will certainly plan on eating at Pearl's on our next trip to the area.

We asked the bartender at our motel where a good seafood restaurant was, and he gave us directions to Pearl's Saltwater Grill. I'm glad he told us to keep going down Eisenhower Drive (heading East) and that we would go through a residential neighborhood before coming to the end, where you turn right and see Pearl's immediately on the left. The view over the creek and saltwater marsh was gorgeous. Go early, before the sun goes down, so you can takeit all in. It's breathtaking.

I had some of the best she-crab soup ever - very thick and full of lump crab meat. My aunt got a perfect Casear salad, with, yes, anchovies on her request. Our margarita's were good, and came in a glass bigger than in many places, where your drink's gone in two sips.

I ordered the fried shrimp, scallops, and flounder. The best scallops and flounder ever!! The shrimp were good too; I'm just used to cooking my own and am spoiled in that regard. The fries were hot and crisp also.

My landlubber Aunt got the strip steak, which came on a huge pile of mashed potatoes with perfectly cooked asparagus on the side. She likes it rare, and they did it right.

I have been to Savannah (from Beaufort, SC) all my life, and never knew this place existed. I consider it an incredible find, and it will be the place I want to go to again and again whenever I'm in town. Give it a try. It's not that hard to find, once you know you just need to keep following Eisenhower till it dead-ends, take that right, and then you're there! It's not even 10 minutes from your turn from Abercorn.

My wife and I received a gift card for our birthday to this restaurant. We had not been here in years and wanted to go to a very nice restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. I made reservations for a table by the window so we could see the water.. It was a beautiful night. Our server, Leslie, was outstanding. When you go, ask for her. She took time to go over the menu, made suggestions, and came back to our table just enough to make sure we were happy. I had the crab platter. This was the best meal I have ever had at any restaurant in Savannah. My wife had shrimp and grits. The wine list is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant to others and ask for Leslie if possible.
