“Great Property”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

It's hard to go wrong in the historical district of this city as far as lodging & food go. Many good choices for both. This property is on the newer western edge of the district, however it is in the period style. It is one of the newest Hilton properties in the area. All staff were very friendly. Bed and towel quality were great. They could of had a more comfortable lounging chair in the room. Hot breakfast was outstanding, with large dining area. This is a walking city and the location is easily accessible to the riverfront area, etc., approx. 1/4-1/2 mile away. Safety was not a concern, as there was always people around. Second time I stayed here and I will return when possible.

Room Tip: If you want to sleep in, ask for a room on the front side of the hotel. They are currently building...

The hotel looks impressive from the outside and the lobby is well appointed. However, the guest rooms fall well short of what you'd expect for a Hilton hotel. They are small, the walls in mine were badly scuffed and the furniture looked pretty worn out. The breakfast was also pretty basic. Overall just average...

I just got back from a "sisters vacation" in Savannah Historic District. The three of us stayed at the Hampton on MLK Blvd. The location is great because it is in the historic district and walkable to pretty much everything. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We had a really awesome HOT breakfast every morning that is free. The swimming pool is very nice. Our room was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again when visiting historic Savannah.

Room Tip: The 2 Queen suite has a sofa bed and accommodates more people than most places offer in historic Sav...

The best Hampton Inn I've stayed in. The staff are great! I had a minor issue with the first room I was allocated and Ciara at reception was wonderful at sorting it.
Comfortable, clean, bright and spacious room.
Ideally located for visiting this city as a tourist. Once we parked the car we didn't use it until we were leaving. Everything is within walking distance in a good neighbourhood. The free shuttle service has a stop nearby. Some good restaurants and bars are nearby

Girl Scout Troop Leaders - this is a perfect hotel.

The suites sleep 6 people (2 Queen beds & a double sleeper), rates are very reasonable/budget-friendly and allow girls to socialize while meeting your adult/girl ratios. They will also do their best to book your rooms on the same floor or next to each other.

Breakfast was great. I had read about the waffle iron and this was a hit with the girls. The only drawback is that it's so popular you may have to wait in line to make one. There are several other choices on the menu as well.

The area is safe and though not very central to the historic district, everything is within walking distance. You just need to plan your activities ahead and you'll be fine. We didn't need our cars for anything except our visit to Bonaventure Cemetery.

My room was very small (602) and although I made my reservation as HHonors Diamond member, no upgrade or premier room was offered. Room had poor layout. For example lights could not be turnoff from bed, the desk had no light, and pillows were smaller than normal. Location is good.

Our experience began BEFORE we even arrived. After reserving our room online I received an email from their sales department stating if we had any questions feel free to call. I emailed back asking for a recommendation for our Anniversary dinner while there. They took the time to call me back and make suggestions which helped immensely. When we arrived we were greeted by Robin, who was the happiest and nicest person working in a hotel I have met in a long time. She welcomed us made us laugh and that was just the start of our perfect weekend. The room was clean and comfy. Great size for the 2 of us and the AC worked great, not one of those "on & off" all night models. We never ate the breakfast but it must not have been bad as it was packed every morning. The guys who worked the Valet Parking were absolutely great. It was a short walk to ALL Savannah has to offer! We will stay again when we go back. Maybe we will be lucky enough to have Robin great us again!!!

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor I would go up one more level if a little road noise bothers you.
