The cooking class with Chef Darin was absolutely wonderful. We learnt a lot and it remains the best part of our trip to Savannah. We can not wait to do it again.

“Amazing Experience that is Highly Recommended! Don't Miss Out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

If you want to take time away from the typical touristy things while you are visiting the beautiful and historic city of Savannah, do yourself a favor and spend a few hours with Chef Darin at the cooking school! It is an experience that you won't soon forget! Regardless if you are a novice in the kitchen or an experienced cook, you will be made to feel right at home in the modern kitchen at the cooking school. No question is left unanswered, and you will leave feeling as if you really experienced something unique and exciting. You will learn about shopping and food preparation from the best chef in town! The experience is entertaining and enjoyable and the best part is, you get to eat and have the recipes to prepare again later. Remember to check out Chef Darin's website at www.chefdarin.com for many great tips and recipes. I have never met anyone who enjoys food and its preparation more than Darin does and he is so accomodating and willing to share his vast knowledge with every one of his students! You will not be disappointed in this experience! I would give this 10 stars if I could!

“A True Foodie's Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

Foodie - A person that spends a keen amount of attention and energy on knowing the ingredients of food, the proper preparation of food, and finds great enjoyment in top-notch ingredients and exemplary preparation. (Courtesy of Urban Dictionary)

The 700 Cooking school is simply one word – AMAZING! If you are a foodie, like defined above, you will thoroughly enjoy this experience. Though, let me say, it is also a great experience for anyone that has taste buds! Chef Darrin is a hoot that not only teaches you fundamentals of cooking, but also will encourage you to think outside of the box with how you regularly prepare your food. You'll learn tips, techniques and essential helpers that will leave you wanting more the next time!

For our anniversary, my husband surprised me with the French Cuisine lesson that we attended together. We made the most wonderful lamb, a tasty salad, a wonderful potato dish, and topped it off with a profiterole dessert! Of course, we accompanied this wonderful dinner with tasty wine and good fellowship. The class lasted about 3 hours and yet it seemed to fly by. It was so fun how each person helped to create this wonderful meal that we all shared. And once you sat down to enjoy it all, you felt such a sense of accomplishment for making something so wonderful and good. Of course none of it could have been as wonderfully done without Chef Darrin's precise teaching and techniques. One of the best perks was, you left with the recipes for the dishes you made! We plan to recreate this meal again and again and look forward to doing so.

Whether you're in town and want to experience Savannah charm, or a local like us who just enjoys the awesome local talents of Chef Darrin, you'll want to give the 700 Cooking School a try. I know we'll be back for many more classes! Thanks Chef Darrin for making our experience, and our anniversary even more wonderful!

“Great experience in a cooking town!”

Chef Darin is terrific! My wife loved the cooking class we took at 700 Kitche with Chef Darin. This was the highlight of our trip. We are still talking about it and cooking for our friends.

“Fun addition to a trip to Savannah!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

I thought this cooking class was fun and informative and I consider myself a pretty cook. I still learned a lot and enjoyed a delicious meal with friends. Chef Darin does a great job and his class (and the meal) are well worth the money. It's a unique way to cap off a trip down south!
