“Best Front Desk Staff Ever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Selena, who works the front desk, is awesome. She is very kind and funny. You can have any kind of conversation with her as if you've known her for years. Outstanding service from her. Made my trip worth the price.

Located footsteps away from Bay Street and Water Street, this hotel provides comfort and luxury in a convenient location. Safety at all hours for pedestrians. Even under renovation, the hotel provided all the comforts of home. Highly recommended.

Customer service was excellent & the room was spotless & comfortable. Located in the historic district. Only a few blocks from the elevator to the riverfront....only a couple blocks from stairs to the riverfront.

This hotel was convenient to the market, the river, shopping and everything you would want to see/do. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The late afternoon cookies were a plus, but the most memorable part was the helpfulness and genuine caring of the concierge, Pam. She really knew her town, the folks running tours, prices for value, restaurants for good dining and all the details that make a trip worthwhile. The hotel was priced right so the lobby renovations were hardly noticeable. The only 'downer' was the difficulty in finding reasonably priced parking. At almost $20 per night, the hotel valet parking was not a good value and no one wants to drive downtown Savannah. I found open air parking at less than half the price around the corner.

Booked this hotel on Priceline so got a great deal. There was an extra fee of course for parking. Yu will find that the majority of the hotels in the historic district will do the same thing. Nice comfortable room within walking distance to all of the major attractions of the area. Great dining, shopping, beverages, and other forms of entertainment are just a short walk away. Staff is very helpful if you don't know your way around Savannah. River Street access right across the street. Don't go for the breakfast...much better down on River Street...

I had no real problems with the room or location. The staff were very nice and friendly, from the day staff to the graveyard shift. Parking was a curious affair, since the valets had to move my vehicle in and out of underground parking. I would have liked to have had a place where I could come and go without having to bother them, but again the room was fine. The air conditioning worked fine, and the bedding seemed clean and fresh.

I've stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Savannah Airport but haven't had a chance to stay at the facility in the Historic District until now. I was able to turn a business trip into a mini-vacation and one key factor was my wife being able to walk to shopping/restaurants while I had the vehicle. Proximity to City Market and River Street proved to be a luxury that made the stay a real pleasure.

The room was excellent and very accommodating to our needs (we had the king suite with a separate sofa/living room); the microwave and mini-frig came in quite handy. The bathroom was roomy enough the bed was as good as I've slept on in quite a while.

We took advantage of the outdoor pool (small but refreshing) and the spa as well as the Exercise Room. No complaints at all on any of these amenities whatsoever.

The dining room/bar area was excellent as well; breakfast was great and we took advantage of the Happy Hour.

I was initially a little worried when the website said their main lobby was under construction, but it was absolutely no inconvenience (it was only a very small portion roped off and partitioned with plastic).

Whether business or pleasure, this location and facility cannot be beat - especially downtown Savannah.
