“Something special going on here”

Thank you so much to the room service staff working the evening of 4/4/13. My husband was 3,000 miles away from home, staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, in Savannah near the airport, on his birthday. I called the room service department to arrange a piece of cake and ice cream to be delivered to my husband's room as a surprise. The room service/restaurant staff made this so special for my husband. They wrote a card, added a couple balloons and customized his dessert to what my husband liked. It made his whole day! I'd love to get the staff member's name who coordinated this so I am able to send her a thank you. She went above and beyond. Glancing at some of the other reviews, there is something special going on at this hotel, and among its management and employees. Pat on the back to everyone! A+

EXCELLENT hotel !

Easy access to airport and interstate.

The rooms are clean the people are very friendly. The food and service were top drawer. I enjoyed the quiet location of this hotel.
They will make your stay a pleasure.

We, two adults and one child, stayed here one night for sightseeing Savannah Historic District.

The hotel was located behind Fairfield Inn and we could not see any signs of Garden Inn from Airways Ave. We needed to drive into between Fairfield Inn and Staybridge Suite that had large signs on Stephen S. Green Dr. But the hotel was also very close to the exit 104 of I-95 and only 15 minutes away to the Historic District.

The hotel staff were helpful and very nice and our room was comfortable. We ate dinner at Miwa Japanese Restaurant that had great authentic Japanese food, especially sushi. We had breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant, Great American Grill, and paid about $20, but their omlete were very good.

We will be back this hotel when we are in this area.

We were traveling from Florida to North Carolina and stayed at this hotel for one night. The rooms were very clean as you would expect a Hilton property to be. The staff could not have been better. We had occasion to talk with William (front desk), Diane (housekeeping), and Rick (maintenance) during our stay. They were extremely accommodating, pleasant, and willing to assist in any way they could. If I had a business that required an employee to interface with the customers all these individuals are examples of what you would create in your dreams.

We chose this motel as a stopover on route to FL because of the good ratings it has received. It met all of our expectations, so we stopped here again on our return trip. Cleanliness is my first requirement for hotel stays, and the friendliness and great service of the staff was an added plus. We would definitely stay here again when traveling.

Overall a nice clean hotel, but walls are thin and bathrooms appear to need some upgrading. Lighting in bathroom too dim and tile grout appears to have some mildew. The housekeeping staff do keep baths and room clean. Housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful. Front desk staff generally helpful. The business center with computers was helpful and kept clean and tidy.
Room was large and have microwave and mini fridge and coffee pot and coffee so you could make coffee in room if you wanted. Coffee was also available in the lobby which is nice. Hilton Garden Inns have the beds that can be adjusted from soft to firm depending on what firmness a person wants; however , after adjusting the firmness level I could not tell the difference .......so I surmised that this beds feature was not working. Also, the mattress pad on the bed had a thick fuzzy material on top of it which was interesting as I had never seen this. This did not make the bed comfortable to me.
Noise from planes taking off and landing at the airport did not create a lot of disturbing noise.
Even though this hotel is overall generally nice I believe that I would try another hotel if I ever stay in the area again. There are about 8 or 9 other hotels in this area so it would not be difficult to choose another hotel in this area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the large a/c units.
