“Awesome find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

We couldn't have been moe pleased with our choice for my girlfriend's birthday. Atmosphere was great. We were too early for the band but the place was buzzing. Our server was great and he had excellent knowledge of the menu. We started with a martini and gin n tonic and both were made perfectly. We followed up with 3 tapas - goat cheese in creole red sauce, tenderloin tips in a gorgonzola sauce, and lasagna. Portions were large and probably would be best split amongst more people so we could sample more of the menu. All 3 choices were superb though. Dessert was a chocolate tort that put us over the edge. Already looking ahead to our next visit

We absolutely love celebrating occasions with our guests, and we appreciate you choosing us for your girlfriend's birthday! Excellent choices all around. One of the best aspects of tapas are how easy they are to share, and that's exactly what many of our guests do. We're also looking forward to your next visit, as there's still so much more for you to try. Thanks for the kind words!

Cheers,

“A great hot spot with upscale food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

This underground bar has fantastic decor, entertaining live music, and the tapas are so delectable they could be served in a upscale restaurant. We got the She Crab Stew, Traditional Bruschetta- Grilled garlic rubbed baguette layered with tomatoes tossed in balsamic vinegar, fresh basil and Mozzarella. Topped with shaved Pecorino Romano cheese, a tapas that was a special that night that had scallops, Stuffed Flounder- A seared crab filled flounder fillet, resting on basil-roasted sweet corn with a grilled lemon, and Garlic & Basil Shrimp 'n Grits- Marinated and grilled shrimp resting upon creamy stone ground grits with a tomato bouillabaisse. For dessert we ordered a wonderful creme bullee and the best chocolate tarte/cake thing I've ever tasted! You can't skip this place!

“Surprising version of American Tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We accidentally found this place as we were walking along on our visit thru Savannah. We decided to go in and give the place a try. We both had a glass of wine and two tapas. Our bartender explained that the restaurant serves tapas but with an American flair. So we tried the crab cakes and marinated tenderloins. We were pleasantly surprised with the presentation, food taste and portion for a restaurant we just stumbled upon. As we ate our food and drank our wine, there was a Jazz singer named Trae Gurley who was performing. It was really nice restaurant and quickly filled up from 6 p.m. on.

The restaurant is in the layout of Alligator oul restaurant but much more modernized. I recommend it for a change of venue and some uniqueness to a really popular eating area.

Talk about a happy accident, right? Thanks for stumbling upon us and deciding to enjoy some wine and tapas. We're glad you enjoy the atmosphere and that Trae Gurley's performance added to it even more. Thanks for the excellent recommendation, and we hope you'll stop by on purpose next time!

“Tapas for two was plenty of a good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

For my wedding anniversary, the wife and I went to Jazz'd Tapas. We decided on the tapas for two. Our choice of soup or salad, four tapas choices, and choice of dessert. I have the shrimp/corn chowder and the wife had she crab stew. Both were excellent summer soups. Plentiful meat in both, always had a spoon with meat in it. We order the empanadas (which were very yummy and large), shrimp/scallops skewers (tasted amazing), lasagna (large portion, very good too), and crab cakes (two cakes and they were just beautiful). For dessert we had the bread pudding (amazing...enough said) and creme brûlée (done with perfection).

Portion size were larger than expected. We took food home.

Service was good and helpful.
