“Wonderful Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

I have to say this place was the cleanest restaurant I've ever seen. There was not a cob web in any corner or a crumb under any table. Everything...including the restroom...was spotless. We had boiled shrimp, crab cakes, and the low country boil platter with cold slaw. Everything was wonderful..perfectly cooked. This place is now my number one required stop whenever I visit Savannah.

“Great boiled crabs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

We went to despositos based on our concierges recommendation. The boiled blue crabs were great and that's coming from someone from Louisiana! We ordered the last few they had. The waitress recommended calling ahead next time and reserving. The boiled shrimp were good as well. The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall, but I like those kind of places. It's a casual atmosphere and appeared to be locals there. It's not really near anything. Don't be in a hurry. They only had one waitress, but she worked hard.

“Never knew”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

I have visited Savannah numerous times and never knew of this place. What a well kept secret! The low country boil was heavenly, a half pound of shrimp with corn, boiled potatoes and sausage. No room for dessert after all that!

“Simply Good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012 via mobile

Although the interior and exterior are not much to look at, it was very clean overall. The menu is very simple with few choices. We ordered a pound of boiled shrimp and coleslaw. Both were delicious and the shrimp were very large. The waitress was nice and attentive. I really enjoyed the casual atmosphere.

“So bad I had to write a review”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2012

We went to this place knowing it would be a hole on wall, but we were told that the blue crabs were great.
Besides the fact that they did not have blue crabs, we still ordered some shrimp and crab legs, grilled cheese, and potato salad.
The grilled cheese was actually good, while the seafood was not bad, but does not justify spending $63 before tip for two people for lunch in a totally run down place. Definitely not what we expected. The potato salad however, was absolutely nasty and smelled and tasted like raw eggs. We told the waitress that we did not like it and thought it was bad. A minute later she told us that the owner made it YESTERDAY, and did not think that it went bad.
We get the check, and the potato salad was there. I asked if it was a mistake, and the waitress said that the owner felt that the salad was good, and that he always makes it with eggs, and he would not take it off. We could take it with him if we wanted. Argue about $2 when u r spending over $60
I felt I was at the wrong place, where the owner doesn't have a clue about costumer service.
We will never go back!!!!
