“Good Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Food was good, went before the bar crowd really started coming in. Probably wouldn't go there at night unless you want the bar scene, but if you do, the atmosphere was great!

“great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Found this little place as we were leaving the river. Shrimp were excellent, cocktail sauce had a nice kick.Service was good. Atmosphere, what can I say, it's a pub. Will definitely go back.

“Great food and reasonably priced on River Street!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

This place is a great find. It's very low key so we've never really noticed it before, but I'm so glad we decided to try something new this trip. It's a little small, but has great character. I noticed a sign that said they have live music every night, but since we were done by 8:00 we missed out on that. My husband and I shared the cajun popcorn crawfish poppers and he was in love with them! The homemade hot sauce is Amazing!! We both ordered the blackened mahi sandwich with steamed corn for our entrees and we were not disappointed. This casual restaurant/bar cooked perfectly tender and well seasoned fresh mahi as well as any expensive gourmet restaurant I've ever been too. We'll definitely be back! Can't wait to try the fried pickles and crab chowder.

“Good service and fried pickles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

After leaving the Low Country Home and Garden show today, we went on a search for fried pickles along the riverfront. We found it on the menu posted outside of the Bayou Cafe, so we went in, not knowing what to expect.

Bartender was genuinely friendly and made a good drink. The fried pickles were delicious and he even recommended using some of their hot sauce on them, which were great with the ranch sauce. We had 2 drinks, 1 coffee, and fried pickles for about $16.

Atmosphere is laid back and they have live music every night. We were lucky to come early enough that it wasn't crowded. I enjoyed it and would return.
