Vinnie Van GoGo's is simply the best pizza in Savannah. I live here in Savannah, and have lived here for the past 4 years. There is nothing better. Mellow Mushroom is distant 2nd place. As far as amazing New York Style pizza goes with delicious toppings (try the Italian Sausage), you can't go wrong. Plus there is a decent view of one of the many parks here in Savannah, perfect for people watching. Oh, and bikers usually seem to hang out at that park, so you can see some nice motorcycles too.

Vinnie's takes cash only, the hostess is usually rude, they can't seat more than 4 people, they deliver their pizzas on bicycles, and they play tapes instead of CDs... this is precisely why I like Vinnie's. This place has some serious character.

If Vinnie's becomes all nice and customer friendly, loses their tattooed staff, delivers all over town, and takes credit cards - I won't be going anymore... but I can't forsee this happening.

This place is always crowded...one bite into a slice and u'll understand why. Awesome pizzas and reasonable prices.

My family came to Savannah and had heard about the pizza at Vinnie's. We had 6 people in our party and we were told that they could not seat a group this size that we had to eat out in the park. They said that they could take our order and they would deliver it out to us at the park. At first I thought that they were kidding. Very rude and not customer friendly.

Vinnie's pizza is still pretty good - but when we got a 2 topping pizza in June 2005, we were asking "Where's the beef?" Where were our toppings? I think we got 5 peices of sausage and 6-7 pieces of olives on a large pizza (over $12). The problem is that Vinnie's is not the kind of place you can take the pizza back to. We had to wait so long to get it as it was.....
