“Superb addition to Savannah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

Chive is a new restaurant/lounge in downtown Savannah. The owners have several popular asian influenced restaurants in the area. Its description as a seafood lounge is quite accurate and it has the appearance of a cocktail lounge with relative low tables and seating. They do not take reservation but we ate at about 6pm and had no trouble getting a table. They also have two tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. The menu is made up of three separate sections for appetizers, small plate starters and entrees. Our waitress recommended a sampler appetizer with beef, shrimp and scallops which was excellent. But the big win was the shrimp and lobster spring rolls which we declared to be one of the best things our group had ever eaten. The best of our entrees was the chilean sea bass stuffed with crab meat and the ahi tuna. Finally we shared a chocolate bomb that was beyond belief.

The food is superb, the waitresses are all very attractive young ladies in little black dresses (that are nicely short and low cut) and the atmosphere is lovely. The only complaint is that the seating is very uncomfortable because it is more appropriate for a cocktail lounge but a little too low for eating a meal. All in, a great place and we will be back frequently.

“Great light lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

This fairly new restaurant on Broughton St. specializes in Seafood. I've only tried it for lunch but you can get one of the lunch "specials" for 8 or 9 dollars. I had the snapper with risotto and it was delicious. The ambiance is ultra modern but classy and comfortable and they play an old movie on a large t.v which sound tacky but is very charming!

“Best new place in Savannah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

The glitzy decor, intimate atmosphere, and warm friendly service are just the beginning at this new spot on Broughton St. The food, an interesting mix of seafood, Asian, and contemporary, make reading the menu as interesting as the flavors. The only complaint we had was that the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation, even in the private, curtained-off areas.

“Swanky, upscale atmosphere with exceptional food and service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

We visted Chive in Savannah for lunch on a quiet Monday afternoon. We were extremely impressed with overall look of this smaller, classy establishment! Our server was on point and did an excellent job displaying the "good ol' southern hospitality minus the use of y'all, that you may find in this area. The thinly sliced fresh baked bread and pesto was the perfect start! Although this is definitely a place to go for unique drinks and socializing, their lunch and dinner menus were quite interesting to say the least. I had an excellent organic wild catch salmon salad made from fresh greens, strawberries, avocado, tomato and cucumber with amazing mango dressing! And quite a steal for $9! My husband had duck "ping" which was a new dish to him of roasted duck on a skewer and a side of white rice, very nicely presented and prepared. We had to check out the dessert menu and settled on "high hat chocolate mousse cake" delicious and presented beautifully as well. A must visit if you love and appealing and cosmopolitan atmosphere and great food!!!
