“A real treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

My wife and I are often in Savannah and it was a real treat to find a real treasure that we had overlooked for so long. Maxwells is a small venue with a classic interior, tasteful decor, excellent and attentive service by knowledgeable staff, and absolutely excellent food prepared exactly to order and presented beautifully!
We highly recommend maxwells as a romantic place with wonderful food and impeccable but friendly service!

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

We had one night in Savannah, and we decided to eat dinner at Maxwell's. The avocado spring rolls were delish! My hubby had stuffed quail, which he said was plate-licking good. I had the chicken which was also good. It's not a very big place, so best to reserve ahead.

“Attractive Setting, Reasonable Pricing, some Very Tasty Options”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

Been twice recently. Fun small bar area.Reasonable wine list and options by the glass. Avocado spring roll , delicious and different, lots of anchovies on the Caesar. Wonderful Veal Chop and excellent Filet and Crab cake combo, lots of Haricot Vert; but a bit limp recently. Roasted fingerlings; nice but could have some variety.
Chicken Saltimbocca , a signature dish. Loved the brewed decaf, we are not much on dessert so no review.
A convenient downtown spot ,good value !

“Nice little, upscale restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

My husband was on business and we met two of his associates at Maxwell's for dinner.
We waited briefly at the bar and enjoyed a little wine.

This was the only down-side of our experience, that is that the ceiling was dripping water on the bar in one spot (but it hadn't been raining...hmmm) Also, they had the T.V tuned to the SyFy channel....but, the music in the restaurant was more classic 40's. (Quite an odd contrast...)

Our server was excellent- helpful but not pushy or intrusive...I appreciated that.
We each ordered a different entree and all enjoyed our selections.

This restaurant is quite small so it lends a cozy atmosphere. Couple that with great wait-staff and delicious food--it is a worthy spot to enjoy a nice meal with friends.

“Great meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

Superb service and great food. Waiter helped with the selection of wine. The owners checked to ensure everything was satisfactory. Filet with roasted vegetables was tender and delicious and the salmon was cooked to perfection.
