“Beautiful trees, very relaxing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Had to walk off some of the food we ate during lunch. The park is really beautiful, its huge, and we really only got to see a portion of it. They were a couple of artist drawing, and some lovers kissing.... just lovely.

“Enjoy Nature in the City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

This is a great park to take a break and enjoy the beautiful trees, green lawns and fountains. While exploring the lovely squares of Savannah keep walking until you reach the Forsyth Park. There is very pretty fountain and historical monument on the main path and people are enjoying biking and walking. Sit and soak up the atmosphere of this great southern city.

“Beautiful and quiet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

We were able to stop here from our trolley tour and took some time to walk around. Large beautiful park - with plenty of shade on a hot day. Benches line the large walkways, and plenty of open grassy areas for the kids to run and play. Earlier in the morning there was a farmers market, then rugby games being played throughout the day. Even with all the events going on around it was very peaceful and quiet.

“Best Savannah landmark”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Forsyth Park is a must see when visiting Savannah. We strolled the sidewalks with our two kids admiring the many live oaks strewn with Spanish moss while listening to the birds. We briefly forgot we were in a city. The large overhead branches provided us with some much needed shade as well. It was a nice surprise to come across a playground that made everything worthwhile for our little one. The nearby café, though pricey, has cold drinks.Near the café are several attractive older home framed by palms and Spanish moss that made for great photos for us. On the day we visited there were a few eclectic residents, one sleeping on a sidewalk and another singing loudly to himself, that made us a bit uncomfortable. We were obligated to take plenty of photos of the iconic fountain which is literally the center of the park. It's a great place to listen to the soothing water sound while watching the frequent wedding party photo sessions. The park was one of the highlights of our Savannah vacation.

“Such a beautiful park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

We walked to the park after eating at Mrs. Wilkes (had to work off all that food!). It was such a beautiful walk there and worth the trip. The landscaping is beautiful. Of course, the fountain is a definite beauty. Had to take lots of pictures. There was a man painting pictures of the fountain and it was really neat to see.
