“A Special Store”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

On a recent visit to Savannah I spent some time at The Salt Table on Barnard Street and WOW, what a great experience! Salts, seasonings and spices you just can't find anywhere else... and you can taste each one! Whatever your eating preference, from grilling to gourmet, there is something special in this store. The staff is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. They have many recommendations and suggestions for creative uses of their products which turn your visit into a learning experience as well. This is a special store and great stop when touring downtown Savannah!

“Unique Adventure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Upon arriving in the store, the owner greeted us and explained the concept. There were tasting cups all around and you could try all the different flavored salts, sugars, teas, vinegar, and oils.

I would highly recommend visiting this store. It is a very unique adventure for your taste buds.

Thanks for your review! ;-) We try to say hello every visitor, even when it's crazy busy. It can quite overwhelming to enter a shop where just about everything can be sampled. Where does one begin. We suggest trying the flavors you already enjoy and go from there. With over 200 flavors, the process is an education and our staff of "flavor consultants" are eager to assist. Folks who stop in out of curiosity often stay an hour or more and enjoy every minute. We're very pleased that your taste buds had such a great time.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We have been wanting to get to this place for so long! We got so much stuff including the Cherry Vanilla Black Tea as well as the Cinnamon Apple and they are both AMAZING! The Cherry Vanilla had pieces of dried cherry in it. And the salts, well we have at least 7 now. The Himalayan is my favorite, but we also have the Applewood Smoked and the Ghost Pepper. Everything was just wonderful. I can't wait to use it all. The staff was great as well. We can't wait to go back!

Thanks AvoLightingGirl! The truth is it's our customers who are amazing. Everyday hundreds taste our products. From that we learn immediately what people like! It's the ultimate consumer study. I like the Cherry Vanilla Black tea and the Raspberry Black tea as well. They're my favorites for sure. The Ghost Pepper Salt is one of our best selling salts. Very spicy, and just darned good. Thanks for having such a good time on. We look forward to your next visit. Be sure to day hello.

“Spice Up Your Life!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We discovered this gem during our first trip to Savannah, GA! It's located right downtown around the corner from that tv chefs restaurant... The place is stocked with salts and spices from all over the world that they blend themselves! We can't wait to get home and start cooking! The ghost pepper sea salt is awesome!
A must visit if you're in town but you can also order online @ salttable.com

Spice up your life, indeed. We are so pleased to hear your kind words. We do package virtually all of the Salt Table products, and our biggest sellers are our own recipes and blends. The blending process has become so demanding, in fact, that we need more space and are soon opening another nearby facility and store. That's a double bonus. Once moved, our original store will double in size with even more great products to bring home. Please plan on returning soon, it sounds like the Ghost Pepper will be gone soon. ;-) Thanks again!!

“Can't Wait Cook”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

All 5 in our party enjoyed visiting this shop. We took a cooking class yesterday at 700 Drayton that was about flavoring your food. This made us especially excited to visit The Salt Table. We enjoyed sampling the different teas, seasonings, salts and sugars. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped us pair seasonings to our favorite foods. Hopefully another visit to Savannah will be in our future, but we're glad we can order online too!

Thanks so much. We're so glad that you enjoyed your experience at The Salt Table. There are some pretty great cooking classes in Savannah, including 700 Drayton. This town is so well known for its culinary offerings. The Salt Table is a proud partner with a number of the well known restaurants in town. Its not unusual to see a chef from this restaurant or that in our shop selecting just the right Salt Table products to enhance their recipes. Thanks again, and please ask for us if we're not on the floor during your next visit to Savannah. Enjoy your salt!
