“Generally very good, bad wifi in room, bit noisy”

Two minor issues stopped me giving this place an excellent rating. We had room 431 which was a very nice room on the corner of the building so had windows in two sides. Neither with nice views but that's no issue. I think because the room was at the end of the building the in room wifi was useless, just kept dropping out on all our iPads and iPhones. Also room was quite nosy from outside through the windows. It was Friday and Saturday night so more loud people and cars around in the early morning hours. Staff good, valet easy, free wifi, bar looked ok with reasonable priced drinks although did not use it. Good position to walk easily downtown.

Room Tip: Avoid corner of building rooms

We have been regular guests at this hotel for more than ten years. We have never been dissapointed. This year was no exception. The Hotel has undergone a major renovation which has placed it in the high end of comfort, atmosphere, ammenities, etc. This staff as usual was top drawer. We will visit again. Not to be overlooked is its proximity to City Market.

Room Tip: Higher floor away from elevators with river view.

The room was on the small side, but, it did not matter to my wife and I in the least. It was the best laid out hotel room I have ever been in. It had all the features we needed. Far more than we expected. We expect a clean room, nice bed and a TV. This one had power plugs everywhere, USB and iPhone chargers, WiFi and wired networking. Desk, couch, nice bathroom and a safe big enough for our notebook computer and other valuables. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever experienced anywhere in the world. And, it is located in walking distance of all the sites and shops we wanted to see.

Great Location but on busy, noisy street in front of hotel. We took advice and asked for room in back of hotel. Concierge was great help re tours and restaurants. Seek her out. Her location is a little hidden. Other staff was friendly and helpful also.

The good: location was very good you could walk to everything the trolley stop was right outside of our door. Hilton honors member get breakfast buffet which was plentiful and good. Pool and Jacuzzi were nice as well as the bar downstairs for drinks and appetizers. All the employees were very helpful and courteous. John was the concierge and helpful choosing the correct trolley tour. Jen was our bartender and did a good Savannah mule with peach vodka- very yummy

The bad: the wifi was terribly slow. If I'm checked in and staying for three days why do I have to sign into the Wi-Fi again every night at midnight?? Horrible service.

I had some sort of mix up with room cleaning the first day but then good. No view other than a parking lot and the noise level outside on Friday night sounded like a frat party on spring break Saturday night was pouring rain and high winds so much better and Sunday night very quiet and a police officer on site. No explanation as to why.
Overall a good stay

Stayed for 2 weeks whilst on business so plenty of time to assess
Pros
- Friendly staff
- Nicely refurbished rooms with great TVs,beds, shower
- wifi worked well
- Breakfast nice
- super location
Cons
- Very noisy especially at weekends - TVs can be heard through walls
- Expensive! for the price I would expect breakfast to be included and water to be in the rooms not in vending machines. Getting a bit expensive for my company to use.
- Valet is $25 a day which is very steep

Altogether I enjoyed my stay but value for money could be better at over $200 a night.
