This is no high class restaurant OR touristy spot either. This is a well kept secret in Savannah, GA that actually needs some exposure.
The crowd when we went was ... well, there wasn't a crowd. It was very open.
This place has a very nice indoor space, with great food. It's a little more "real" than most American restaurants. So it may not be what you are used to by a long shot. The winner food seems to be the Chicken Chimichangas. Everyone seems to love those. I am sure there are some other really wonderful dishes to discover here.
The have good salsa, but if you like it spicy, I recommend that you ask for their green salsa. It's hot, but very creamy and very good.
Be prepared to wait a little while, as I believe the food is all prepared fresh.
The real JEWEL and pleasantness here is the wonderful and VERY friendly staff, including the owner. They are wonderful people and you will find their service and friendliness refreshing for the Savannah, GA area.
Try them out at least once and feel them out for what you think yourself.
Great little secret hideaway, and certainly off the beaten path and out of the huge crowds. An expecially great escape from a busy downtown Savannah, GA on a holiday.
thank you to the owner and staff for a wonderful meal the other night. Gracias !!!
