My friends and I spent two nights at East bay Inn.
The great, huge quaint double room facing the river is said to be hunted by Charlie, one of Savannah's ghosts...but unfortunately we did not meet him!
The high ceiling room was amazing, well decorated with a large bathroom, a lot of towels and two bathrobes. Generally speaking, the charming atmosphere was truly enhanced by gloomy lampshades and the music provided by a pleasant alarm clock...quite surprising features for a hotel room! Every night they served some wines and cheese appetizers in the lobby.
The complimentary breakfast is quite good,except for the overall cleanliness...they'd better take more care in washing dishes and flatware...

This is a lovely property in an excellent location. The best we have stayed in in Savannah. Will definitely return again!The breakfast was a very nice amenity. Take advantage of it! The property is pet-friendly as well.

No surprises here - the Inn was just as it looked online. The rooms have that old world charm and tastefully decorated. Being an old building, you will experience the creaky floors, some thin walls, and the lack of enough electrical outlets. Location is great, walk across the street and down the alley to get to the river front. Loved the stories about Charlie, the spirit that inhabits the Inn - never got to see him, but that was quite alright. Some must do's: walk down and visit the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, totally breathtaking inside; walk to the river front and do a River Boat Dinner Cruise, the food was plentiful and delicious and last but not least walk to Forsyth Park to enjoy the beautiful grounds.
