In town for the Rock & Roll Marathon when all the local establishment's rate were greatly inflated. Budget didn't allow $300 plus to stay on the riverfront so the challenge was to find something decent but not too far away from the starting line close to the riverfront. TownPlace Suites was about 8 miles away - an easy drive down Abercorn Street.

The hotel was very clean, the staff, extremely friendly and helpful, the amenities were new and nice. This is not a luxury hotel but the price includes and limited continental breakfast and very good internet access. I recommended this facility and will stay here again.

Let me first say that it's a nightmare looking for decent hotels that allow a pet. We have Lab and take him with us on every trip that we possibly can but finding accommodations that meet our standards (all allow a large size pet) was a challenge. We came across the Townplace and the previous reviews convinced us that we should take a chance and stay there for our Labor day weekend trip.

Check-in was very quick and the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The hotels was pretty full so we had to park near the far end of the hotel. Thank goodness our room was on that end so it ended up working out. The room was fine and met it's need. It was congruent with the price point so there were no complaints on our end. The only complaint that we had was with the air conditioning unit. It was very loud and made this weird watery fountain sound; it was pretty annoying but not a deal breaker.

We liked that the hotel was surrounded by a good deal of restaurant choices because we eat out most of the time, however, if we were people who cooked the hotel room had everything we would need if we wanted to cook meals while we were there (they even had an oven - we thought that was a pretty cool addition) and there was grocery store, pharmacy, and Lowes & Home Depot just in case.

Overall, we'd stay there again and recommend the hotel to a family traveling with their pet.

It was a great hotel, clean, the staff was friendly. It was a bit of a drive downtown area but I chose it because of the price and it was worth it. So if you dont want to drive 25 minutes to hang out or go downtown do not stay here. If you are looking for a hotel with a good price, clean and great accommodations (free internet, free parking) this is the place. It is close to a big mall and many of restaurants.

Me and my family can intown for the weekend ( 7pm/Labor Day), didn't have reservation anywhere. After checking virtually every hotel in the city with no luck of finding a room, we pulled up to Towne Place Suites. The hotel was booked solid, but they did have a room that was closed because of un-authorized smoking. The young lady at the check-in counter advised me of such and asked if I wanted to check out that room. The room was very clean, but did have a cigarette smell. I must say, she went beyond the call of duty to try to make me and my family comfortable in that room, plus she saved us from having to drive to another town to look for a hotel (she got rid of most if the cigarette smell :) ). The hotel is conveniently located surrounded by restaurants and a couple of malls. Hotel was quiet and peaceful. A/C works extremely well. I would stay here again.
