“Customer Service does it again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012

This hotel is nice, it is very clean, and it is well-appointed, as expected for the chain it belongs to. That would be the simple description were it not for the level of service we got, which I consider exceptional.

We called the night before looking to make a reservation with Marriott Rewards points. The Marriott website limited the kind of rooms that were available if paying with points. The hotel staff accomodated.

We booked the next night (to be paid at the quoted rate) and stayed. The next morning the hairdryer failed to function, and the staff was called to replace it. Unfortunately, we were in a big hurry and knocked on the room next door to see if we could borrow our neighbor's hairdryer for a couple of minutes. No big deal. I'm not sure exactly what transpired after that, but that afternoon the front desk called us to apologize for the hairdryer incident, and offer us both a discount and Marriott points to make up. Quite unexpected and very welcomed.

As we were leaving, we were short-handed, and one of the housekeeping staff offered to help us take our stuff to the car... ...and then she wouldn't accept a tip!

It's the little things that make for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: The four 2-bedroom corner suites per floor are very spacious.

Visited Savannah for the second time in two weeks and chose the TownePlace suites instead of the Fairfield Inn due to the availability of a two bedroom suite.
The Hotel is about 10 minutes further away from the Historic Area of Savannah but well worth the traveling time. Traveled with one of our sons, so the two bedroom suite was perfect. Each bedroom had a queen bed. There is a separate living area and a full kitchen. Three TVs.
Warmly greeted by the young lady at the front desk and she gladly looked for a two bedroom in the rear of the property.
Everything in the room was CLEAN, no mold or discoloration in the bathroom, no dust or stains in either bedroom or in the living area and every appliance in the kitchen was spotless and grease free.
The A/C worked fine and since it was not a window unit, it was quiet, with an indirect airflow; much better for sleeping.
Travel time to the Historic area was about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic, but well worth the time considering the price of the rooms, and the availability of parking in downtown Savannah.
Only drawback was the breakfast, as there was no dining area for guests. The buffet was set up in the lobby for you to take back to your room. As such selections were more limited without hot items or the usual waffel maker. There was fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, instant oatmeal, etc. so you could get by.
Plenty of breakfast spots in the area if you choose to go out and considering the quality of the rooms, the friendly and helpful staff, and the overall positive experience of staying here; it is certainly no big deal.

Room Tip: All two bedroom suites are at the ends of the buildings, ask for the ones in the rear to avoid any s...

What a wonderful hotel, not to far from the hustle and bustle of the River Front plus extremely quiet, clean and UPGRADED. Cydney (evening shift) has all the directions you'll ever need and doesn't mind providing a map with detailed instructions. Ms. Jacque (morning shift) was UBER HELPFUL and friendly since I was traveling with my elderly parents. This is definitely the hotel to stay in when visiting SAVANNAH. thanks again

Tammie

This hotel was very clean! The staff was very pleasant and the price is unbeatable for the following: 2 bedrooms, a living room with a sleeper sofa for two, a full kitchen, full size refrig, and free wifi. The grab and go breakfast was perfect! There was fresh fruit, oatmeal packages, nuts, juices, milk, water, yogurt...oh I almost forgot-there was different varieties of dry cereals also. This was just right for my family before going out exploring Savannah. The property was very quiet also. Did I mention there was a tv in each bedroom as well as the living room?! This is definitely the place me and my family will be staying every time we visit Savannah.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floor if you don't want to hear the putter patter of little kids fe...

Was very happy with this hotel. Great young lady working the front desk was extremely helpful and so nice! She worked the evening shifts. Room was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint was I gave the bed to my friend and I took the pullout couch bed. NOT COMFY! I would definitely stay here again. Lots of if restaurants nearby and about 15-20 minutes to downtown.

The rooms are spacious, the breakfast was delicious (blueberry waffles and chocolate milk!), and the staff was very impressive. Brandon gave outstanding service throughout our stay. We loved the full fridge and stove top. My only negatives... The whirlpool was cute, but definitely over the posted temperature - we could hardly put in our feet. The fold-out couch mattress was slanted and springy, but the comforter and pillow were heavenly. GREAT time! :)

This hotel provided everything I needed: clean room, central location and free wi-fi in room. Small kitchen looked adequate for meals and has an ice maker in the fridge -- no running down the hall for ice! If you smoke (don't need chastising here), they provide actual chairs and benches in a smoking section outside! Pool is small but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
