As with my review of the other Telfair museum properties, I will begin with saying purchase the package deal (includes three sites for $20) instead of paying individually. You do not have to view them all in one day, I did two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
This attraction is a restored summer home belonging to the Owens Thomas family. You begin in the carriage house and from there move into a garden and finally the family's living space. It is beautifully restored.
The staff is very educated on their subject matter. You can ask about anything, including dinnerware, room layouts, floors, colors, etc. They give you time to walk around on each floor without rushing you.
You cannot take pictures inside of the home, but the garden is beautiful and is fair game. There is a very nice gift shop with many tea services, books, paper dolls, and other gifts.
The museum is also constantly trying to better their experience as they continue restoring more and more rooms.
I'm not sure about wheelchair accessibility as we all went up several steps. If you find it difficult to journey up and down steps, you would benefit most from the carriage house and garden but from there on, steps, stairs, and more movement upwards.
