“A charming place...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

Wonderful, place to walk and view the heritage that was once Southern US..
The riverwalk, is a nice place, lots of shops, tacky and otherwise...
Mostly, though, just an interesting place to walk, look and imagine what it may have been like to live and work in, when Savannah was a bustling place of commerce and trade, many, many years ago.

“So much to see and do”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

There is so much history here you need to take a lot of time to enjoy it all. The squares are laid out so that it is not a far walk from one to the other. Each is very unique and different from the others and the homes that surround each are just as different. You could spend months here and not see it all.

“Fantastic, beautiful, pleasant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

The charm, historic homes, shopping, parks, riverfront, so many things to do, relax and enjoy in the area. We could not get everything in with the two days we spent there. We have to go back to tour homes, historic sites and, of course, more shopping.

Beautiful buildings, historic markers, green areas, relaxing.
Daytime is very family friendly.
Food was great, Monuments, Paula Deen's had some great southern food. Riverwalk was fun and lots to do.

“Many Interesting Old Homes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

Savannah has such a wealth of older homes since Sherman chose not to destroy it on his march to the sea. Some of these homes are open for tours. In addition, we found the squares quite interesting and took a tour that included particular information about some of the squares. I highly recommend that you take a tour with a local, knowledgeable guide to make your stay in Savannah more interesting and educational. You should note that parking is horrendous in the downtown area. Too many people and not enough parking spaces. You should venture beyond the waterfront as there is much to see.
