“Impossibly Romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

This slice of America is what it all should be like. Liberally sprinkled with beautiful squares, wonderful shops and restaurants, and a vibrant waterfront, what else could you want?

“History Come Alive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

What a treasure Savannah is - from the stunning floral/fauna to the city parks to the great food! Pick a hotel in downtown, pack your tennis shoes and take the walking tours and soak in the history of Jim Ogelthorpe and the amazing group of 7 ladies that began the restoration of this city and their amazing houses. Stand in line at Mrs. Wilke's Boarding House for lunch (not Lady & Sons), shop at "One Fish, Two Fish", eat ice cream at Leopold's, go to Forsyth Park.....it's great for a long weekend!

“Great girls trip !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

I enjoyed the historical aspects and liked the fact that you could walk the entire historic district if you wanted to. You could buy a trolley tour and on and off privileges, or use the free city buses available, they also have a free boat/ferry ride on the river. The layout of the historical district and the squares makes it pretty easy to find your way around. Lots of great places to eat and shop. Lots of things to do. Visiting in late March, the azalea's were in bloom and just beautiful !

“Wonderful emersion in early U.S. history!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

The Historic District of Savannah is a walking tour destination. Park your car as soon as you arrive, you won't need it and driving will highly limit your advetures and discovery in this densely packed area. So many beautiful homes, churches, graveyards, etc. to see, and wonderful epicurean opportunities as well! A couple of days of exploring here will teach you more about American history than all of your school teachings put together.
