“Peach Cobbler Is The Best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

This was my first visit to Savannah to celebrate my birthday so I did not want to come to Georgia and not have peach cobbler. We ordered an appetizer (stuff mushrooms), Cheeseburger Club sandwich w/sweet potatoes, Chili Cheeseburger w/homemade fries and of course peach cobbler. Everything was good and hot but the cobbler was to die for. I wish it was served in a bigger dish.

Our peach cobbler is hard to beat! Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope you'll visit again soon! Try the fried oyster sandwich - big, fat Gulf oysters served fried on toast with tartar sauce and lettuce - doesn't get better than that! Can't wait to have y'all back!

Everytime my family attends an event at the civic center we have dinner here. Only being 2 blocks is so convienant. The atmosphere is always live and fun filled. The food is awesome and quite reasonable.

“Friendly Dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Walked over for dinner and were met at the door by a very friendly lady, I think her name was Fifi. What a great start! Food was very good and drinks well made. Could have a few gluten free items for those with food allergies, but we worked it out. We will be back!

“Just perfect! Food, service, history and ambiance are wonderful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We saw that the Crystal Beer Parlor was rated very highly on several food and travel websites so we decided to give it a try! I had the crab stew and iceberg lettuce salad, both sooooo good! My husband had a dark beer and loved that, plus a pastrami Ruben sandwich that he really enjoyed. Our server was helpful and did a good job and made good recommendations on food choices. We sat in the bar side so the football game could be seen, very relaxing atmosphere.

“The Southern Version of a Diner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Diners in the South are rarely art deco places as they are in other parts of the U.S. Here, they are usually hole in the wall places that look like the Crystal Beer Parlor on the outside. We went there twice during our stay in Savannah. The food was really good and I was pleased to find several lacto-ovo vegetarian items on the menu. On my first visit I had something called Coastal Empire beer (lager, ale,?) It was a good, dark brew somewhere in taste between Guinness stout and Bass ale. Good value for the money!
