Just returned from a 3 night stay here. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and we loved the courtyard area with the pool, firepit, etc. Our room had a bit of an odor but hey, it's Savannah in the summer so that can happen in the heat and humidity. The hotel is located on the fringe of the historic district in an area that appears to be starting to regenerate and there are a few other chain hotels located in the same area. It's fine if you make a beeline down Liberty street into the historic district but I wouldn't recommend straying too far in any other direction, especially after dark. Otherwise this is a good example of a nice Residence Inn and the money you will save by staying on the outskirts of the historic district is worth the extra few blocks walk to see the main sights. We had a car so we would drive in to the historic district when we knew we would be returning after dark and had no issues finding cheap, secure parking in the main tourist areas. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a lower priced alternative to the hotels in the historic district/river front areas.
