“Ghost tour”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

We did the ghost tour and I was not impressed especially for the price. You only get to see part of the house. I love ghost stuff but this was lacking.

“Ghost hunters look no further, this is the real deal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

The Sorrel Weed House is a must see for anyone visiting Savannah for her haunted history. Steeped in history and tragedy, the house is slowly being restored to its former glory, funded solely by the house tours (daytime) and ghost tour (evenings).

My friends and i opted for the Ghost tour at night, after having taken a couple of drive-by/ walking tours during our visit. Atmosphere is everything and our tour guide set it very well. He was full of not only historical tidbits, but all the juicy bits of ghostly tales you long to hear on these sorts of outings. We were given lots of freedom to take pictures and video as we were guided through the house, into the basement, and eventually out into the courtyard and carriage house. I don't want to give any of the good stuff away, but come armed with at least one male in your group if you can, and take pictures, video and voice recordings. You will NOT be disappointed. This truly is one of the most haunted houses in all of Savannah!

“Great Educational Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

We stumbled along this tour by accident while looking for a nice place to eat. Saw the guide by the gate and my husband asked which restaurant he recommend in the area and he was very friendly and gave us recommendations. I noticed the brochure and read it and decided to come back after dinner because I had heard of the houses history. Although we took the 10:30 pm "ghost tour" we really was interested in the history also. Our guide Yamel or Camel as he said we could call him was very knowledgable on history. Since we were the last tour of the night he told us to take our time and was able to read all the letters and plaques. We weren't able to tour the upstairs but was able to roam the first floor, basement and carriage house. Yamel can answer pretty much any questions about the home and the whole historic area. I recommend taking the tour just for the history (hopefully you will get Yamel) and the money is going to help restore this wonderful old home!

“Eh.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

We heard the place was haunted... of course we wanted to go... we went for a day tour.. at 10 dollars a person...

The place is very disorganized and somewhat dirty and unkept. :/
Our tour guide was okay... funny but ehh........

We only were allowed to tour the first story and the basement which was not all that great but they were renovating everything else I guess..... Alright then....

We were kind of bummed because the upper stories and the carriage house was supposedly where all the action was ?

But for ten dollars a person... not all that worth it...

However they let you take pictures unlike most other museums so that's good.

“Rip off”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

The kids thought it would be cool to tour a haunted house so $70 later for the 4 of us we decided to do it. The tour guide was very nice. The tour itself was rediculous esp for the money, They had you walk around the house and told the history of the home. The rest of the tour was spent in a dark basement they even had a room that was supposedly used for medical procedures that they had you go into as small groups into the pitch dark not sure what the purpsose of that was. If you want to tour the home do the day tour it is only $10 per person.
