My wife and I chose the Dresser Palmer House for the celebration of our 27th wedding anniversary. The entire staff was great and made you feel like you were family. The breakfast chefs (Sean and Kolin) did a fantastic job at getting our days started with a full belly and laughs from the other guests. The housekeeping staff was great and very polite! The honor system for the beverages and bar area was a 1st for us and a great way to make you feel at home. We have been coming to Savannah on and off for the past 27 yrs and this was by far the best we have experienced in the area. We would recommend the Dresser Palmer House to anyone looking for a great place to stay in this beautiful city1

Hey Bruce M!

We had a lot of fun over the weekend with everyone and you are right, the breakfast table was always a good laughing bunch each morning. We love to have fun with our guests and we were so glad to have met you and made new friends in you both. We know we will see you again and be able to feed you some more great meals and send you to more favorite places here in Savannah. Thank you for the kind words and weekend full of laughs!

My husband and I celebrated our 27th anniversary there a couple of weeks ago. Wonderful staff (thanks for the nice clean rooms Ms. Janice and Ms. Shelia), beautiful accommodations, scrumptious breakfasts with beautiful presentation (great job Kolin!), and Sean was VERY helpful in making reservations and directing us to where we needed to go (thanks for all the maps!). Make sure to take some time to sit on the wonderful front porch, rock in the comfy rocking chairs and remember (or practice, if you're not from the south) being a southerner while you sip your drink and watch folks go by... Hope to get back for the peaches and cream French toast....mmmmmm!

Hi Stephanie F!

The staff here at The Dresser Palmer House really enjoys interacting and talking with our great guests. We were glad to have you for your Savannah stay! We all love to cook and have fun in the kitchen with new recipes and occasionally using y'all as guinea pigs... It's great to know you enjoyed staying with us. My wife and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary at the Dresser Palmer House and we had a wonderful time. Colin and the entire staff there were great and made us feel very welcomed and cared for. The evenig receptions and the breakfasts were all more than we expected with great food and beverages. The honor system open bar was something I had never encountered before and it was very refreshing to see that people can still trust one another. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings were representative of the history of the house.and the city. We definately would reccommend going there to anyone wanting a romantic getaway or a venue for a small wedding.

Hey Bob I!

Congratulations again on a happy 41 years together! We were happy to have been a part of your celebration. Savannah is very romantic and a great way to share special moments with your loved one. The house is a great backdrop for beautiful period style furniture that we find at local auctions, shops, and estate sales. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay.

Thanks again!

We loved the Dresser Palmer House. The staff, chef & housekeeping was most welcoming and assisting. We selected DPH as a last minute vacation get away. I was most pleased with the handling of my reservation to check in to check out. We will definitely return.

We went to Savannah for our 40th anniversary. We had 5 days and no plans. DPH is a fantastic B&B!! Friendly and comfortable. The staff (Kolin, Don, Shawn and Janice) was so helpful. They all worked together to make our stay feel pampered. Our room was neat and perfect, (There is variety of rooms so ask questions to get the type of room you want). The gourmet-style breakfasts were delicious and the social-hour with complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres was fun--eating and meeting with the other guests and sharing stories and places to go. We ate at several restaurants that the staff recommended and were very pleased. (Our favorite was Garibaldi's). We were very comfortable with trusting the staff for their recommendations on what to do and not do. Be sure to ask Don for the historical tour of the house. The rockers on the front porch are SO comfortable!! Our stay was delightful. Savannah truly is the epitome, on a city-wide basis, of "Southern Hospitality" and DPH clearly is a mojor contributor to our impression as to why. ENJOY!!!

Room Tip: There are several different types of rooms, so ask questions so you get the type you want.

Hi BarbiC!

It's great to hear from you again :) We have so much fun with our guests and we really enjoy sharing Savannah with you. We have amazing restaurants within walking distance that are among the best of the best in the Southeast! The front porch was where we could find y'all almost anytime in the mornings and evenings when you weren't out walking around the squares and it was wonderful to see you enjoying your anniversary trip together.

Our stay in Dresser Palmer House was wonderful. My cousin, Lita and I decided to stay in a B and B Inn, rather than a regular hotel to have a different experience, and we did. The service was great, our breakfast was very filling and tasted good; wine and cheese was rewarding after an interesting story and history of the house. We stayed in the " Confederate Jasmine " room. I am glad we did, because we would not have been able to negotiate 22 flight of stairs each time we go in and out of our room. ( We are both Seniors ).

My cousin is from New York and her first time to go and see Savannah. This is a memorable experience for her.

Thank you to Don, Sean, Kolin and Janice for all your help and services to make our stay in DPH very relaxing, enjoyable and memorable.

Room Tip: If you are Senior, take the Confederate Jasmine Room. It is only a few steps down. Room is good for...

Hi Linda M!

We are so happy you chose us for your little getaway with your cousin :) You were a lot of fun and as a matter of fact, the whole house of guests was a great crew that weekend. We're glad you had a great experience and found that B&Bs are the way to go! Don is really great at giving the home tour and has been here the longest out of the staff so his passion for the history really shines through. Come back soon!
