Description: Leave the ordinary behind and escape to the Mediterranean! Southside's newest and highly anticipated addition is Troy Mediterranean Cuisine. Located directly across from the Savannah Car Wash Detail Center is a little family owned restaurant that is poised to raise the bar for fine restaurants in Savannah. Once you step inside you are whisked away to the Mediterranean. The decor is tranquil and the atmosphere is peaceful. This is a great place to bring the family or that first date. Great care and detail goes into each entree and the presentation is food magazine quality. Since they are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, there is absolutely no excuse why you cannot dine here! If you are in a hurry, you can have your favorite entree(s) cooked to order and pick them up through their takeout area. Either way you owe it to yourself to escape to Troy!

“Delicious Greek food, lovely-to-look-at rooms, good prices--I'll be back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

A friend and I went to Troy Mediterranean for lunch today and really enjoyed the whole experience. From the moment you enter you see beautiful scenic paintings on the walls and interior of the restaurant, followed by a delicious smell of herbs, roasting meats and fresh vegetables. This place would be excellent for romantic dining in the evening. It sits in a little strip of stores on the east side of Abercorn--very unassuming and perhaps a little bland...but if you take a chance and just walk in, well, you will get your reward: beautiful rooms, attentive and friendly staff, delicious food, and great cappuccino! My friend started with a cappuccino and she told me the taste was very authentic (she's been to Italy many times and loves the coffee). I ordered the baba ganoush and was well pleased with the portion, appearance AND the creamy texture and flavor, as well as the warm pita bread. My House Salad (actually a Greek Salad) can be ordered with many kinds of meat, but I chose the chicken kabobs and SO glad I did: marinated & tasty, tender and grilled over open flame, the perfect accompaniment to the HUGE salad; fresh crispy romaine, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, black olives and a wonderfully salty feta cheese--not overwhelmed with dressing either, just enough! The waiter offered freshly ground pepper from the mill for the salad, and that only added to the array of flavors. My friend had the BIG gyro (the photo is taken at an angle to show the inside, so it may look small, but it's not), served with crispy golden fries with light seasoning, and a cup of bean soup, all at a good price. Our server was attentive without being invasive, the music, lovely wall paintings and general atmosphere was so pleasant and relaxing, and the food wonderful. I will definitely be going back again soon!

“Fresh and built from the ground up.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

The only thing better than the food was the service. A bit on the expensive, but you get your moneys worth.

“Fast service, great saganaki!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

We live in Savannah, and have been to Troy several times. The flaming cheese, Saganaki, is delicous, but their bread, however is not. I enjoy the pastas, but the cost is a little high for no salad included. ($15 range.) Troy's usually has very fast service, so we go there when we are in a hurry. Sweet tea/unsweetened tea- delicious!

“Good Mediterranean Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

In the month of January and February 2013, we went to Troy's on Wilmington Island four times. The food and service did not disappoint. My favorite is the Vegetarian Cannelloni, while my husband likes the Seafood Stew. The calamari is excellent as is the flaming cheese. They know how to cook spinach just right!

We will continue to go there and take our friends and family for a delicious and casual meal.

“Always a Great Meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

We have been going to Troy since they opened on Wilmington Island. We probably go every other month. The food is great, the servers are always nice and we always have a really good time. The best thing on the menu is the lamb shank. If they ever run out it will break my boyfriend’s heart. As far as he is concerned, the place should just be called “The Lamb Shank”! But there are other really great things to eat as well. We love the muscles and calamari and dinner wouldn’t be complete without the baklava! (The best I have ever had - all warm, moist and sweet.)

Will we be back? Oh Yes! Again and again and again…
