Description: The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Enthusiastically recommended by AAA, Food & Wine and Redbook.

“almost but not quite”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

The historical aspect of this location is the biggest part of it's appeal. The food is served buffet style ans i average. The biggest disappointment of the location is the tunnel is no longer open to the public. "Thanks to some greedy woman who fell and sued the resaurant." That is a quote from our waitress,

“Absolutely fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

The Pirate's House was recommended by our Trolley Tour driver as a favorite place for the locals to go to have good southern food. We were not disappointed, everything on the buffet was wonderful!! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is great. The perfect ending to a day of sight seeing. Will definitely make it a stop on our next trip to Savannah!

“A one of a kind experience. Good for families.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

The pirates house is a great experience. It consists of several colonial area buildings, including a "treasure room" . Great costumed pirates come through to thrill the kids. The food is classic low county cuisine of good quality and variety. If you want fine dining type food with family atmosphere. This is the place.

Good food. Good service. Gift shop on the premises with all sorts of pirate gear. Roving pirate and wench were entertaining for the kids.

“An excellent meal AND a museum stop”

The food was terrific, Avery took great care of us and we enjoyed the surroundings were fun. The pecan chicken and the crab au gratin were out of this world.
