“Nice”

If you are into cemeteries this is for you, lots of history and beautifully kept. It still had the headstones from the Civil War that were knocked down by the Yankees.

“Great history of Savannah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

We really enjoyed touring this historic cemetery. You really can't get a true perspective on the historical part of Savannah until you view some of the markers for the people buried here. The city has done a good job of marking where some of the more historical people were buried, to include Nathanael Greene, the 2nd in Command to George Washington. The city has done a good job of maintaining this cemetery and you are free to walk around and look at as much as you want. A lot of the headstones are really weathered, and you cannot read them, but there is enough here to educate yourself about the city.

“Walk thru time”

Interesting seeing old tombstones of Revolutionary soldiers and others. Story of the propped up ones on the back wall is very interesting too (Civil war). Worth a walk to this place!

“Very Historic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Intersesting cemetery to walk through. The tombs are fascinating to look mat. A lot of history is explained with markers. Located in a central spot in the historic district. Worth a stroll through to experience Savannah history

“July 2013 Colonial Park Cemetery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

One of the finest examples of an Antebellum Cemetery in the United States with a distinct historical tie to Sherman’s Occupation of Savannah, truly a must while in Savannah!!!!!
• President Lincoln receives Sherman's telegram offering him the city as Christmas gift (see December 22, 1864).
