“"Magnificent Cathedral"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

This is our second visit to Savannah and my husband and I were in town for our three year wedding anniversary. When we were here last May we never got a chance to come visit, so this time we made sure that we did! This Cathedral is AMAZING! The work that people put into this place is unbelievable and breathtaking in every way. We took our time walking around trying to absorb every aspect of this church! There were lots of people walking around taking pictures as well and I think everyone was in awe! Next time we are in Savannah we want to come here for a Sunday service! Even though we are Presbyterian, we both want to just come worship here one Sunday...Unfortunately this time we weren't in town over the weekend.

“A BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED CATHEDRAL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

As part of a walking tour I would highly recommend visiting this cathedral. Originally constructed in 1896, the over a century old building, has been restored. The high arching vaulted ceiling was most impressive. The marble and carved wood add to the beauty but most spectacular were the large stained glass windows made more impressive with the sun shining through which made the colors even more vibrant. Well worth a visit.

“Spectacular!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

This church is awe inspiring. It is very attractive from the outside but inside is spectacular. If you are visiting Savannah, this is one attraction you should make a point to visit. It is free to go inside, walk around and take pictures. The inside is a work of art.

“A jewel in the old city...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

We happened upon this place at night and the lighting was breathtaking. So we had to go back during the day. It is a beautiful cathedral that will make one appreciate the effort to create a beautiful house of worship that appeals to all faiths. It is beautiful, without overstated affluence. Its history is as inspirational as its architecture and one can sit amongst the pews and learn a lot about Christianity by simply looking at the stained-glass windows and the carvings. Make sure this is on your must-visit list. Stay a while, Sit in the pews. Appreciate what it is and does.

“Lovely and peaceful”

Such a lovely church. The stained glass is beautiful, the church is just magnificent. Be sure to donate a little money so they can continue to keep the church beautiful!
