“Great for lunch or dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

Love the laid back atmosphere and open air feel to this place. Makes you want to keep coming back and hang out. And then there is the food! Been there several times and never had a bad meal. Try the special tacos or one of the yummy salads. If you are lucky the spicy hummus will be a special that day.

“must go when in Savannah”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

We were driving around a saw a group of guys, asked them where's a good place to eat, so they told us Blowin Smoke. Firest and foremost, excellent service, also the food was yummy, we tried the bbq of course, collards, blowin smoke big salad, everyone tried something different so we could all try it too. Loved that the sauces are homemade, i'm not one to try different dressings, but the smokey ranch was awesome.. When I return to Savannah, I will revisit this place.

“My favorite BBQ in the SAV”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

This is not the most traditional southern BBQ in town, but it's my favorite. The ribs are excellent, but they aren't the fall-off-the-bone that some folks might be expecting. The BBQ sauce is a home-made concoction that is fruity and a little spicy, rather than the usual ketchup-and-vinegar flavors of most places. The sides are all traditional southern choices (and mostly very good), but not necessarily traditionally prepared. The fried okra for instance is served with a smoky ranch dipping sauce, which changes things up just the right amount. The salads are surprisingly good for a BBQ joint, and the HOMEMADE FRIES ARE EXCELLENT! There is plenty of shaded outdoor seating, and local music on many evenings. This is a hipper, slighly more upscale version of the usual southern BBQ joint.

“Awesome!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

The best food I have eaten in Savannah. Not only is the BBQ good, but everything my husband and I ate was delicious. This is officially on our list of places to visit the next time we come back to Savannah. Note: The actual address is 514 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd...the above address is wrong which caused us to make a couple of turn arounds, but the food was well worth the trip.

“We Would Go Back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

We had a good experience here. My rack of ribs was pretty good (not the best ribs I've ever had but good). They had a lot of sides to choose from and the mac and cheese was yummy. My husband had the pulled pork and was satisfied. The beer list is pretty good as well. We would go back if we are back in Savannah and are in the mood for BBQ.
