As a business person planning a trip for myself and serveral co-workers to a local trade-show, I was pleased to see that the Tremont Plaza had recieved good reviews and was reasonably priced. My hapiness changed however when I called to make a small change to one of our upcoming reservations (needed to reduce it by one day). I was appauled to find myself on hold for 15 minutes on their 800 line (given on the confirmation) only to be told I need to call the front desk directly. Upon calling, it rang for over 5 min befor someone picked up. She only managed to get out 'hello' before continuing a loud and inappropriate conversation with a coworker. Then she proptly put me on hold without notice. I remained on hold for 18 minutes before calling back. Upon calling back the call was immediatly recieved and I asked for the front desk manager, I was told non was on duty. I asked to speak to any manager on duty, I was again placed on hold for 10 and then was told she could not be found. The young lady gave a big sigh and again I was on hold. About 10 minutes later I spoke to an accomodating and friendly manager on duty who addressed my issue in just a few minutes. I will never book again for fear I would need to change a reservation. With this kind of phone service it makes you wonder about the rest....

Stay at this hotel!! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are huge. Good location and the staff is more than welcome to shuttle you where ever you have to go. 5 stars!!

I stayed at the Treemont Plaza last May and have wanted to write a review. The Suites are huge and while not beautifully appointed they are just fine. The front desk staff were polite despite the fact the hotel was fully booked due to a conference in town. I highly recommend it.

I recently stayed at the Tremont Plaza for a conference. The rate was only $135 so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, when they say the rooms are suites, they are not kidding: as large as my last one bedroom apartment. Clean, neutral decor, but nothing fancy. TV in both the living area and the bedroom. What did leave something to be desired was the "fitness" room. The pool was closed for the season so the workout room was the only option. It was terrible- no fan, no ventilation, 2 run down treadmills, a recliner bike, an upright bike, and a broken step machine. No free weights. Terrible. Also the service at the front desk was spotty. One night, when I asked for a dinner recommendation, the front desk attendant merely handed me a Baltimore tourist magazine and said, "Look in here". I didn’t even know where to begin. The next night, I got personal attention, a map, and suggestions from a different attendant. Overall, a great value, but be prepared to workout elsewhere and don’t rely on the front desk for tourist information.
