“great staff, no nuance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013 via mobile

This is a great place for a large meeting or an anonymous tryst. The hotel is huge, and sometimes confusing, but the room sizes are generous and there are options for most of what you'd want in an inner city hotel. I appreciated its location and size, and no so much it's consistency (I'm a boutique hotel girl.). But I was always pleasantly relieved by the staff. From the bellmen to the engineering staff, they were each personable and kind and willing to engage on any level, which I appreciated. The gym is open 24/7 and the equipment was in great condition. They offer disposable earphones and great tart Granny Smith apples and water. The pool hours are more limited, but there's a hot tub and it all felt clean and attended. Five days here flew by.

2 hours in to vacation and was my debit card was authorized twice at check in. Manager could not help and said it would release next week. Front desk clerk mentioned I would have adjoining rooms come to find out she thought adjoining meant next to each other. Asked about the mistake and she said the same. Hair on toilet seat and cracked tile in guest room.

Great location, great time. Located near the inner harbor and in walking distance to many great Baltimore sites. I highly recommend it. Rooms were spacious where three people did not feel cramped at all!

Definitely no doubt the hotel is nicely located right next to the harbour. The hotel is huge and they have about 100 rooms on one floor! Around you also good a lot of food options and National Aquarium is just across the road. The room is quite big, Friendly staff and helpful, well presented the Marriott Hospitality.

From the greeting by the doorman through checkout, every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful and courteous. My stay was for a conference at the hotel. The meeting space was great, the group meals and breaks were excellent. I also utilized room service and ate at the bar one night. Both of those experiences were also great, food and service. Rooms were comfortable and roomy, the location is perfect for exploring the city. Lots of fun things walking distance from the hotel. There is even a great shopping mall attached to the hotel!
I definitely recommend the hotel and want to go back for a non working visit!

Booked a room for a one nights stay, took in a concert at Pier Six Pavilion. It was well worth it. Cost was reasonable and a full breakfast was include. Check-in was a breeze, the staff was very friendly. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The bed was plush we didn't want to get up the next day. The breakfast was excellent. Freshly prepared omelets, waffles, and a whole spread of all of your buffet breakfast favorites. The hotel is in the middle of everything that Baltimore has to offer. We parked the car and walked every where. It was lovely!
