There is an apparent shortage of hotel rooms in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Having observed this, I proceeded East on Pulaski Highway out of the city and into the county where the first available rooms were at the Regal Inn. I paid in advance for a six day stay. When we went to our room we were shocked to find that the room was filthier than the kennel we had boarded our dogs at before leaving for our vacation. It was so bad I would not have been able to walk across the floor without shoes on.After we discussed the situation we decided to continue farther East in search of acceptable accommodations. The proprietor refused to refund one day rental because we had been in the room for about 10 minutes while making our decision.
