“Good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

I stayed here for 3 nights recently on business. Check in was quick and efficient, room was clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from Camden Yards. Book a Club Level room if you can-it's nice to be able to grab a cookie or popcorn at the end of the day to take back to your room. Good breakfasts in the Club Lounge too.

I suppose this is a minor gripe but for a fairly expensive hotel room, I was very surprised out how thin and small the bath towels were. I expected better from a Marriott. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Marriott jacked their prices up for the Grand Prix but they are not the only hotel that has done that so I can't single them out for that (even though I hate the practice).

My daughter and I stayed here for Otakon. The location was perfect as we were right across the street from the convention center. Our room was comforable and very nice. We were in a quiet block of the hotel and it was indeed quiet. Very pleased.

Booked three nights at the Marriott primarily to attend the Grand Prix race, and also to participate in the Andretti Club viewing area at the hotel. Even though the hotel was very busy on Friday, check in was quick and efficient. Got a double room on the sixth floor overlooking the race track. Overall, room was very nice, good size and spotlessly clean. Very typical Marriott quality. Some minor room complaints: TV channels are limited and not HD, small fridge available, but no stocked honor bar, and AC system somewhat dated. Tried room service a couple nights--hamburgers just average and soggy fries, but excellent wilted spinach salad and great tasting crab cakes.

We went for a vacation to relax, and that we did!!! The room was comfortable, the food and restaurant great, and location good. We were very pleased all around. Service was terrific, and value as well.

Stayed here over the weekend and unbeknownst to us the Baltimore street race was going on. We were near all the action! The hotel staff was very nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Exactly what I expect from a Marriott. The location is great! It's only a few blocks from the shops and harbor activities (peddle boats). No complaints whatsoever!

My husband and I stayed here because we had tix to see the Red Sox play the O's at Camden yards. There are so many shops and restaurants in the area. We stayed on the 17th floor in a corner room so we had two different views. It was a beautifully appointed room. Very quiet. King size bed was pristine with white bedding. We usually have to call housekeeping to request synthetic pillows as we are allergic to down; but upon checking the ample closet we discovered they had already included those!

The front desk staff was professional although there was one instance that I found it somewhat abrupt. But that was fairly minor. Valet service for the car was quick.

Breakfast buffest was fantastic - I usually hate buffets. If there was something you didn't see (i.e., poached eggs) they would custom make it for you.Endless bloody Marys and Mimosas included in the price. (although who wants to get loaded at breakfast?) Lots of savory items; wonderful Scottish salmon; made-to-order Belgian waffles; perfect fruit, even vegetable assortment. Well done all the way around. We complimented the waiter on his service, and he replied that it's so satisfying to know he's pleasing guests. Go! Five minute walk to Camden Yards.

Room Tip: I can't think of any drawbacks!
