“Excellent stay for an anniversary weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We decided to go to the Inner Harbor for our anniversary, and it was absolutely fantastic. The Harbor Court was as good as I remember from my days coming as a kid. Royal Sonesta is the property owner now, and they've done good things with the Harbor Court. The views are probably some of the best in all of Baltimore. The rooms are lovely--nothing to complain about, and not too over the top. I didn't feel like I was in a museum and afraid to touch anything, but I definitely didn't want for anything, either. Big, comfortable beds. iPod player right next to the bed. The TV in the bathroom was a nice touch, although we never used it--nor did we use the nice, big one in the bedroom, but if you had to be there for a week, you would have been quite comfortable.

The front desk staff and the valets were impeccable. Not stodgy in the least. Very personable and friendly, while still maintaining the dignity of the establishment. They definitely make you feel like you're staying in a nicer hotel and not a Super 8. The indoor pool and health club is absolutely fantastic. The hot tub is quite large and was perfect after a day of gallivanting around Baltimore. The pool is large for an indoor hotel pool, and you could easily swim laps. There was a lifeguard on duty who was friendly and seemed to be observant, without being pushy.

We went to the Explorers Lounge for a couple of drinks our second night, and the service was as good as the rest of the hotel. A friendly, jovial bartender exchanged good conversation with us, and the mood was very upbeat.

All in all, if you are staying in Baltimore, I can't recommend the Harbor Court enough. The location is ideal no matter where you're going, and easily within walking distance of the stadiums, Water Taxi, Constellation and museum ships, aquarium, and the other attractions of the Inner Harbor. Your view at night is worth the price alone, but the room will certainly please you after a long day in Charm City.

Room Tip: Make sure to get the Harbor View room. A little extra, but well worth the money.

We’re so glad you had the opportunity to return to the Harbor Court and thank you so much for your kind words about the property. It is wonderful to hear you remember it just as it was back when you were a child. The staff makes every effort to go out of their way to ensure each guest receives the best possible service. We do have a great location to all the attractions in the city, everything is pretty much within walking distance with some being only a short cab ride away.

Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back!!!

“32nd Anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

My husband and I were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. Our stay at this hotel was very special. The suite we were given upon arrival had a wonderful view of the harbor and was quite luxurious. The room was spotless and ready upon our arrival.

We had the pleasure of dining in the Explorer's Lounge and our meals were expertly prepared. The staff was friendly and professional...attentive but not noticeably so. Cameron.l Alexa and Steven should he commended...they are an asset to this hotel. One of the other favorable and pleasant part of this trip was meeting Gina and Jonathan who made our visit very special for us.

Room Tip: As this hotel is non-smoking...any room would be a great one...but if you are looking to mane your t...

“Home Away from Home at the Harbor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

From the moment we pulled into the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore, I knew we were in for a treat. Guest Services greeted us at our car, unloaded our luggage, and took care of everything. They were attentive to our needs, friendly, and were ready to show us why first impressions are critical to the success of any business. Upon entering the lobby, we were greeted by the General Manager who welcomed us warmly and explained the layout of the hotel and the surrounding attractions; he also made certain that we had a magnificent view of the inner harbor. The front desk was very professional and courteous in all of our interactions with them. They greeted us by name and accommodated every request we made. We arrived at the hotel by 10:30 in the morning and to our surprise, our room was available. The room was spacious, extremely comfortable and the bed made you feel like you were sleeping on the clouds! We did not get to use the exercise facilities or the pool, since we were in town for a family function, but they were inviting and well maintained. We had lunch in the Explorers Lounge, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was delicious and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The following morning we awoke to a simply breathtaking sunrise over the inner harbor – well worth waking up early to view! We started our day with breakfast at Brightons Restaurant and they remembered us from lunch the day before. They staff asked how we were enjoying our stay and couldn’t have been friendlier. (I wish I could have remembered their names because they were wonderful.) The breakfast buffet offered many options and the “made to order” omelet station was simply the best! This is truly a hotel that makes you feel like it is your “home away from home.”

Room Tip: You will want a room with a view of the Inner Harbor.

“Beautiful hotel on the Harbor!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

I stayed at this beautiful hotel, formerly the InterContinental, for an impromptu weekend getaway in Baltimore. It's a lovely, expensive hotel, so if you can get it on Priceline, you can get an excellent deal.

ROOM: The rooms are standard, though the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. There were some minor mishaps--there was something obviously wrong with the window seal as there was condensation on the window of our 7th floor room, and the Keruig coffee maker sometimes didn't work--but these did not detract from our stay and we got a great deal regardless.

PROPERTY/SERVICE: The hotel is very pretty, with a clean gym and indoor pool. We enjoyed the cafe on the first floor, which serves delicious Illy coffee. The front desk and bellhops were extremely helpful with checking in/out, holding bags, etc. The housekeeping knocked on our door promptly at noon the day we checked out as we were running a few minutes late, though we were not charged extra or really bothered about it again.

LOCATION: The location cannot be beat if you're exploring Baltimore, as you're walking distance to the Harbor, the American Visionary Art Museum, the restaurants and bars of Federal Hill and the theaters. You're also a quick cab ride from Fell's Point.

Overall, it was a great stay and I'd be happy to stay here again!
