This hotel is just ok. We had a little trouble finding it as it's kind of tucked into the street and you really have to look for it. We parked in the garage immediately, as the reception area was full and there was little parking on the street. The lobby is nice, but the hallways and rooms themselves are worn. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable except for the pancake-flat pillows. Bathroom was clean. Service was fair. I forgot my toothbrush and one was brought immediately. But I also requested creamer for my coffee (at the same time!). The girl who brought the toothbrush said someone else would bring the creamer. No one ever did. After reading reviews of the hotel, it seems the restaurant staff leaves the most to be desired, but still, if she was already making the trip to the room, you'd think she could have rounded some up along the way, I can't imagine the restaurant is very far from the front desk.....we also asked the concierge to call a cab, with no luck (no answer at any cab company?) so we ended up hailing one at the corner intersection. Parking at this hotel is far and away my biggest complaint. As I mentioned, we parked at the garage right away because there didn't seem to be any other options at the time. We decided to take a cab downtown to avoid the hassle of bailing out the car and having to pay (again) to park downtown. In hindsight, we probably should have just driven. I'm not in the habit of using a cab. The one way, 3 mile, 15 min ride was about a $12 fare. The area of town that the hotel is located in is not a high tourist area and parking should not cost this much to begin with ($18/20 overnight), it is more than the cost of parking downtown in most cases. But I think it should be provided to hotel guests at no charge. Overall, our cost of transportation soared because of this hassle. We travel to Baltimore regularly and outside of the downtown Inner Harbor area, I've never had to pay for parking. I most likely not stay at this hotel again because these costs outweighed what we saved by staying here.
