I recently stayed at the Brookshire while in town for a football game. The staffs GM Abraham went above and beyond to accomidate room requst and needs of my party. The hotel was very close to everything. We come here annualy and have stayed at several places but plan to stay at the Brookshire Suites again for our next trip.

We knew nothing about Baltimore, so we were not sure where we would want to stay. If you are there strictly for sight seeing, you will want to be close to the inner harbor. This hotel was about one block from the inner harbor, but the ideal place would be a little closer to Little Italy, but those hotels were very expensive. We ate lunch in Fells Point and dinner in Little Italy. We just couldn't find a great restaurant close to our hotel. But there is a free shuttle that we used and this hotel was a good price, we had a view of the inner harbor, beautifully decorated, and a great breakfast on the top floor. They were kind enough to give us a free upgrade to a suite, since we had 2 rooms. Now we had a nice livingroom. It was a great stay.

We arrived at the Brookshire Suites on a Thursday afternoon and had to wait just under 30 minutes to check in which was trying on our patience after a trip that involved waiting at the airport, in the airplane, at the car rental place...There was 1 person working the desk and she was not happy about it. And while I don't blame her for being annoyed or exasperated with her situation, it's not the customer's fault. A smile or friendly greeting really would have gone a long way and would have allowed us to empathize with her, but she was stone cold. No apology for the wait or thank you for waiting, she barely looked us in the eye. Our other experience with service was ok. The valet was nice, still a little slow, but nice and that helped somewhat.
The hotel itself is nice. The hallways are dated and have some ridiculous carpeting that looks like a bad design from the New Kids on the Block era, but the rooms were nice. The bed was awesomely comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean and spacious, the room was outfitted with mini fridge and microwave which I thought was a nice touch, especially since there are 2 convenience stores within a block of the hotel plus all the restaurants around there. You could actually bring back a doggie bag which helps you not be wasteful with the huge portions restaurants serve.
Location is great - right in the Inner Harbor area with lots of restaurants and places to walk to. The price was great as well, Baltimore is cheap (inexpensive) and kinda fun.
One note - if you're driving, the traffic in the blocks surrounding the hotel is really busy and congested. The hotel has valet parking which is maybe a little less than what the neighboring garage charges. There is no free parking so just be informed about that. We also did not hear any street noise in our room. A definite plus.
Unwelcoming start aside I definitely recommend the hotel. Everything else about it was just fine. But a tip for the staff - a smile for weary travelers would go a long way.

This was a very nice hotel in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful (Ian was great at the front desk). The bed was undoubtedly one of the most comfortable ever. The included breakfast was an added bonus.
